Jones actually commanded targets in volume, ranking in the 84th percentile in college target share (27.8%). Additionally, Jones' workout metrics read as solid across the board. His catch radius, agility score, 40-yard time, and speed score all rank in the 76th percentile or higher. He was selected in the fifth round of the draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. After participating minimally in his rookie season, he played in 16 games in 2013 accounting for 777 scrimmage yards and 10 touchdowns. In 2014, he suffered a foot fracture that ruled him out for the entire season but since his return in 2015, he has been nothing but consistent. In 2015, Jones drew 103 targets and accounted for 849 scrimmage yards. In 2015, he signed a 5-year, $40-million contract with the Detroit Lions and in his first season with a new team, he drew exactly 103 targets again and recorded 933 scrimmage yards. In 2017, he broke out for 1,101 receiving yards on a league-leading 18.0 yards per reception and 9 touchdowns, which is a mark he has reached three times in his career. That season marked the pinnacle of Jones’ career as a fantasy asset as finished the season ranked as the No. 7 wide receiver in standard fantasy football scoring.

In 2021, Jones signed a 2-year, $12.5 million contract to play with Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars and in that season, he set a career high in targets (120) and nearly matched his career-high in receptions. In that season, although he only scored four touchdowns, he drew a 30.8% red zone target share, his 90.2% snap share and 564 routes run both ranked top 10 among NFL receivers.

Jones continues to be a reliable body to target as he enters the 30s in the age department.
