The Green Bay Packers signed running back Kenyan Drake to the practice squad.
On December 5th, the Packers signed Drake to their practice squad following the release of James Robinson, as reported by Tom Pelissero. While Drake has been a serviceable back for multiple teams, his fantasy relevance has declined since 2020. The move appears to be an insurance policy in light of Aaron Jones’ absence. Primary responsibilities are likely to fall on AJ “Quadzilla” Dillon, backed up by Patrick Taylor. At 29 years old and joining his 6th team (5th in 4 years), expectations for significant impact should be tempered. Time will tell if Drake will be called upon and can make a meaningful contribution.
