Charvarius Ward will face off against his former team in Super Bowl 58 after spending his first four seasons with the Chiefs.
Charvarius Ward has gotten used to success (and Super Bowl appearances) after making two appearances with the Chiefs, and now making his first as a 49er. When asked about how he likes being on the 49ers now, he said “it’s better over here.. better in every way possible.”
Ward has backed up his trash talk this year with what has by far been his best season. Ward made his first pro bowl, earned 2nd team all-pro honors, and matched his career total in interceptions with 5 this season.
Ward will be tasked with shutting down Rashee Rice, who has been sizzling hot in recent weeks. Ward will have his hands full, but has shown the ability to shut down the best receivers in the league this year.
