Foyesade (Foye) Oluokun's path to the NFL started in Clayton Missouri where he was a multi-sport athlete and played football with Ezekiel Elliott. He would continue playing football at the collegiate level at Yale, where he became a second-team all-Ive League selection. He would later declare for the NFL draft after receiving his degree in economics from Yale. He was never invited to the scouting combine, but did participate at the Pro Day that Yale held.
The Atlanta Falcons selected Oluokun in the sixth round, and he was projected to be only a special teams contributor, but the coaches took note of his effort and athleticism and eventually he made his was as a starting linebacker for the Falcons. His modest stat lines changed in 2020 when he erupted for 117 combined tackles, and the following season, accrued 192 combined tackles, which stands as a record for most combined tackles in a season. He became a free agent after the 2021 season, and the Jaguars were quick to pounce, signing him to a three-year, $45 million dollar deal. He proved that 2021 was not a fluke, and he finished with 128 solo tackles. Foye Oluokun is one of the premier tackling defenders in the NFL.
