Vikings Add Gaskin to RB mix, lose Nwangwu to IR
The Minnesota Vikings have made some changes in their running back depth chart on Wednesday. The team announced that they had signed former Miami Dolphins running back Myles Gaskin to the active roster and placed Kene Nwangwu on injured reserve.
Gaskin, who the Dolphins released on Tuesday, reunites with his former head coach Brian Flores, who is now leading the Vikings. He is expected to compete with Ty Chandler for the backup role behind Alexander Mattison.
Nwangwu, a fourth-round pick in 2021, suffered an undisclosed injury during training camp and will miss at least the season’s first four games.
