Laviska Shenault looking to revive his young career in Seattle
Shenault is eager to make a name for himself, as he has not yet had a significant impact in his early career. In the 2020 draft, the Jaguars picked Laviska Shenault in the 2nd round. However, Shenault was not able to make much of a difference, and he only managed to record 600+ receiving yards in back-to-back seasons with the Jaguars.
In 2022, Shenault was traded to the Panthers, where it seemed he struggled more for playing time, he was invisible for his 2 seasons in Carolina, catching only 37 balls for 332 yards and 1 touchdown.
As he enters his fifth season as a pro, Shenault will be joining the Seahawks’ receiving corps, which already has established players such as D.K Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. It may be too early to predict roster spots at this point in the offseason, but it’s safe to say that Shenault will be competing for a spot on the roster during training camp and will be on the bubble of the 53-man roster.
