Browns sign very talented yet inconsistent Kadarius Toney after workout.
Kadarius Toney visited a couple of teams after being released by the Chiefs and signs with the Cleveland Browns. After an embarrassing outing at home against the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland adds Toney to a wide receiver room with Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore.
I expect Toney to be brought into an offense that will try to utilize his skillset in motion sets as well as another big play receiver to allow Cooper and Jeudy to succeed underneath. Toney will have to continue to work on his catching ability to have any relevance this season. He should not be rostered currently in any fantasy football format except for very deep leagues.

Kadarius Toney Fantasy Football Update 2024: Transition to Running Back with Chiefs?
Kadarius Toney is shaking things up in fantasy football for 2024 by potentially transitioning to running back in early Chiefs training camp. After a tough 2023 season where he struggled to find his groove, Toney’s new role mixing wide receiver skills with running back duties shows the Chiefs are keen to use his speed and agility to their advantage. Coach Andy Reid is upbeat about Toney’s performance, highlighting how he could make a big impact if he keeps impressing in this dual role. While Isaiah Pacheco holds the top spot at running back, Toney’s versatility makes him an intriguing option, especially in PPR leagues where his ability to dodge tackles and catch passes could pay off.
Fantasy gamers should closely monitor Toney’s progress as draft day approaches. If he stays healthy and thrives in his expanded role, he could become a sleeper pick with lots of potential in the Chiefs’ high-energy offense. Keep tabs on Kadarius Toney as he adjusts to his new position, and watch out for more updates on his fantasy prospects as the 2024 season kicks off
Kadarius Toney’s future with the Chiefs and the NFL is uncertain after being a healthy scratch at the Superbowl
Kadarius Toney’s future with the Chiefs and the NFL is uncertain after being a healthy scratch at the Superbowl. Toney, who didn’t play any snaps after week 15 went public prior to the AFC Championship game claiming he was no longer injured. Toney was then deemed a healthy scratch for the Superbowl.
Toney, the former Giants 2021 first round pick, came over to the Chiefs in mid-season acquisition back in 2022. There was a lot of buzz coming out of Chiefs training camp and the pre-season, touting Toney as the clear Chiefs #1 wide receiver headed into 2023, an injury riddled season fizzled that hope. In 13 games with the Chiefs in 2023, Toney finished with 27 receptions for 169 yards and 1 touchdown. The Chiefs will be looking to either trade or cut Toney this offseason. It is looking more and more like Kadarius Toney has taken his last NFL snap, unless there is a team desperate enough at wide receiver willing to take a shot on this high risk investment.
Kadarius Toney is off the injury report, but it is uncertain if he will play in the Superbowl after some controversial comments he made on social media.
Kadarius Toney is off the injury report, but it is uncertain if he will play in the Superbowl after some controversial comments he made on social media. Toney was ruled out in the AFC Championship and there was some controversy regarding whether or not he could have played or not. Ultimately Toney was ruled out and didn’t play.
Toney has been nothing more than a rotational gadget player for the Chiefs this year, topping out at a 44% snap share in week 14. Toney hasn’t played since week 16, so don’t expect much from him in the Superbowl other than being a decoy or getting the odd designed gadget play.
Joe Thuney and Kadarius Toney have ruled out, however, Isiah Pacheco will play in the AFC Championship game when the Chiefs face the Ravens on Sunday.
The Kansas City Chiefs have ruled out Kadarius Toney and All-Pro guard Joe Thuney when they face the Ravens in the AFC Championship game on Sunday. Thuney, who helped lead this offensive line to being one of the best in the league will be missed on Sunday. Nick Allegretti gets the start in Thuney’s place.
Isiah Pacheco, who missed the whole week of practice, as expected will play. Pacheco was dominant in the Divisional Round against the Bills, averaging 6.5 yards per carry which led to 97 yards and touchdown on the ground. Look for the Chiefs to lean heavily on Pacheco and the run game once again, if they plan to keep Lamar Jackson and the high flying Ravens offense off the field.

Look for the Chiefs to continue to lean on Rashee Rice, Travis Kelce and Isiah Pacheco in part 3 of the Allen/Mahomes playoff trilogy.
