Brock Purdy, Ricky Pearsall, and Brayden Willis shine bright at OTA’s for the San Francisco 49ers.
In 2024, Brock Purdy’s fantasy football outlook shines brightly. Following an impressive rookie season, he exploded onto the scene with MVP- caliber stats: 4,280 passing yards, 31 touchdowns, and only 11 interceptions. Supported by stars like Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and potentially Brandon Aiyuk, Purdy’s fantasy future is exceptionally promising. The addition of Ricky Pearsall hints at further potential.
Ricky Pearsall, a promising fantasy prospect for 2024, has been gaining attention for his blossoming rapport with quarterback Brock Purdy. Despite minor practice soreness, his early development impressed Head Coach Kyle Shanahan, suggesting a breakout potential. With uncertainty surrounding Brandon Aiyuk’s contract, Pearsall has been stepping up and demonstrating his skills and chemistry with Purdy. His athleticism, reliability and elite separating skills as a receiver enhance his value, particularly if Aiyuk’s situation creates more chances. Fantasy managers should watch Pearsall closely for his rookie impact in the San Francisco 49ers’ lineup.
Brayden Willis is vying for the TE2 spot with the San Francisco 49ers in 2024. Known as “Weight Room Willy” for his dedication, Willis has improved his blocking skills. Despite tough competition, his athleticism and versatility make him valuable alongside star George Kittle

Purdy and Pearsall are already working out together, building their chemistry.
Brock Purdy spoke at a charity event last night and confirmed that he’s already been working out with first-round draft pick Ricky Pearsall.
Purdy and Pearsall have been on a football field together before, during high school. In one game, Purdy’s team scored 70 points, but despite the score, Pearsall set a state record by gaining 250-300 receiving yards by himself. Purdy acknowledged Pearsall’s talent by saying, “So, he’s a baller.”
After discussing the game, Purdy made sure to mention that he is developing a rapport with Pearsall through throwing drills stating “Pearsall has the tools to be a good player” While Pearsall might have been the 2nd to last pick in the first round and the 6th wide receiver drafted in this year’s class, developing a good on-field connection with Purdy is a step in the right direction.
Pearsall’s value in the dynasty league is based on nothing but pure potential. Landing in a great situation, it will be difficult for Pearsall to produce a real fantasy impact in his rookie season with Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and pass-catching back Christian McCaffrey on the field. It will either take an off-season trade from Aiyuk or Deebo, or perhaps an injury to one of the two studs in front of Pearsall to give the rookie a chance at true volume. Either way, Pearsall is on the rise and dynasty managers should have faith in the process.
From Mr. Irrelevant to Super Bowl Champion could happen for Brock Purdy and create an early legacy.
Is Brock Purdy a Superstar quarterback? Is he a “game manager?” Whichever it is, it won’t matter on Sunday as Mr. Relevant takes on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII.
The last time Purdy was this close to the Lombardi Trophy was the NFC Championship against the Eagles last season where the 49ers Super Bowl run was stopped by an injury to Purdy.
The 2nd year QB will be the third Mr. Irrelevant to play in a Super Bowl, and the first quarterback. Purdy carries his 68.7 career completion percentage and 3:1 TD/INT ratio into battle against the defending champs with a simple plan, “be a part of something bigger than yourself.”
Maybe, the system QB IS a superstar.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has cleared concussion protocols and will play vs. the Bengals.
49ers head coach announced that quarterback Brock Purdy has been placed in the NFL’s concussion protocols.
If Purdy is unable to be cleared, Sam Darnold would be his replacement in Week 8 as San Francisco hosts the Cincinnati Bengals. The 49ers are Darnold’s third team in four years after three ineffectual seasons with the New York Jets and two more with the Carolina Panthers. The 49ers elected to trade away talented backup Trey Lance earlier in the 2023 pre-season. Lance was the 3rd overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
UPDATE: Purdy has cleared protocols and is slated to start, according to Adam Schefter via Twitter.
San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy has been cleared to practice in full and is already working back into his role as starter.
Brock Purdy suffered a torn UCL in his elbow in the NFC Championship and has spent the offseason recovering from surgery. The initial timeline had Purdy returning in early September, a timeline that Mr. Irrelevant crushed. Purdy will begin Training Camp by taking every third day off from throwing but is working with the First Team alongside Trey Lance and Sam Darnold.
Brock Purdy averaged 19.63 fantasy points across the seven games he started and finished, which would rank as the QB7 in PPG, behind Lamar Jackson and ahead of Kyler Murray. The 49ers have been adamant that Purdy will have the inside track to the starting job when healthy.
With a full training camp ahead of him to work out the kinks, Purdy is a lock to start Week 1. His backup could very well be Sam Darnold with Trey Lance trade rumors swirling throughout the offseason.
