As a Transfer from Washington in 2018, Haener missed 2019. Started 23 games combined in 2021-2022 at Fresno State. Completing 67% of passes in 2021, and 72% in 2022.
Finishing his 5-year career with a 68:18 Touchdown to Interception ratio, Haener led Fresno State to back-to-back 10 win seasons for the third time in school history and first since 2017-2018.
