Dalton Kincaid Bio

Dalton Kincaid played just one year of football in high school at Faith Lutheran High in Las Vegas, but it was good enough to earn him All-State and All-Conference Honors and a shot at playing college football for the University of San Diego. Kincaid played for the Toreros from 2018 to 2019, and in 2019, tallied 44 receptions for 835 yards and eight touchdowns.

In 2020, Kincaid transferred to play for the University of Utah and, by 2021, had made a significant impact on the team. Kincaid saw action in all 14 games that season. He put up 36 receptions, 510 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, avearaging 14.2 yards per catch.

In 2022, Kincaid was even more impressive. He led the team with 70 receptions, 890 receiving yards and, once again, caught eight touchdowns. During the 2022 campaign, he earned First-Team Pac-12 All-Conference Honors, was a John Mackie Award Semifinalist, and led all FBS tight ends in receiving yards with 890. Kincaid was arguably the best tight end in the 2023 class, and the Bills saw enough to trade up in the first round and select him at No. 25 overall. His usage was mildly frustrating as he was clearly behin Dawson Knox in snaps. But once Knox suffered a wrist injury, Kincaid blasted off, stringing together six top 12 fantasy finishes in a row. Knox made his way back to the feild, but even during the last four weeks of the season, Kincaid finished as a top ten tight end for fantasy.

In the 2024 offseason, the Bills traded Stefon Diggs, and signed Curtis Samuel. During the draft they did take Keon Coleman at the start of the 2nd round, but there is no receiver on the roster that is a clear target hog. Kincaid appears to be the centerpiece of the passing offense, and he should take a leap in his development in 2024.
