Packers Tight End Luke Musgrave is expected to miss Week 12 and beyond.
Green Bay Packers’ rookie tight end, Luke Musgrave, has been ruled out for the Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions due to a “pretty significant” injury, specifically a lacerated kidney, according to head coach Matt LaFleur. This serious abdominal injury had Musgrave hospitalized, and it’s speculated that he sustained it in the 3rd quarter during a critical 3rd-down catch with 9 minutes remaining. Remarkably, Musgrave played through the injury, showcasing his toughness.
With Musgrave sidelined, his backup and fellow rookie, Tucker Kraft, will have the opportunity to step into the TE1 role. Additionally, wideouts Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks are questionable, and RB Aaron Jones is unlikely to play. The Packers may be without several key players on Thanksgiving Day, potentially posing a challenge for Jordan Love, especially facing the defensive prowess of Aidan Hutchinson and the Lions.
