Te'Vailance Hunt was a four-star recurit by 247Sports.com that joined TCU as a member of their 2018 recruiting class. Opportunity at TCU eluded him over three seasons as Jalen Reagor (2018-19) and Quentin Johnson (2020) among others prevented Hunt from being a featured option in the passing game. After the 2020 season, he transferred to Arkansas State with TCU career stats of 26 receptions for 359 yards and a touchdown in 14 games.
Hunt was immediately productive for Arkansas State in 2021, finishing second on the team in receptions (52), receiving yards (758), and receiving touchdowns (6). These were also top-10 marks in the Sun Belt conference. Unfortunately for Hunt, another transfer receiver the following year and other Arkansas State players finished higher in the pecking order. Hunt finished the 2022 season fifth on the team in receptions (16) and receiving yards (170) in eight games.
