Duece Watts started his collegiate career at Jones Community College in 2018. He led the team in receptions (24) and receiving yards (416) in 2019 and after Jones Community College, transfered to Tulane.
Watts made an immediate impact on Tulane in 2020 as he led the team in receiving yards (512) and scored six touchdowns in nine games. Watts was limited to eight games and slipped to fourth in receptions (21) and receiving yards (331) in his shortened season. For his final season in 2022, He finished second on the team in receptions (33) and receiving yards (657). He did lead the team in receiving touchdowns (8) and the American Athletic Conference in yards per reception (19.9).
