The 6-7 221 pound Zach Kuntz was recruited as a four-star recruit to Penn State University as a member of their 2018 recruiting class. Kuntz hails from Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Kuntz played three seasons for Penn State before transferring as a Graduate Transfer to Old Dominion. During his time at Penn State, Kuntz played in 21 games, primarily on special teams, and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in back to back seasons.
In 2021, Kuntz transferred to Old Dominion University. It was here where he would put up his best college season. In 2021, Kuntz played in 13 games, caught 73 passes for 692 yards, and hauled in five touchdowns. Kuntz was selected as a member of the First-Team All-Conference USA that season. In 2022, played five games and suffered a season ending injury. Before the injury, Kuntz caught 12 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
