Ben Sims is a tight end from Baylor that leads the Bears in all-time TDs by a TE with 12. Sims's 78 receptions are second all time by a Baylor TE. A 3-star recruit ranked as the #28 TE in the nation by ESPN, Ben Sims was active for three games but recorded no stats before redshirting. Sims returned as a RS Freshman in 2019 dressing for 8 games and recording 2 receptions for 5 yards before suffering a season ending injury.

Sims became a started as a RS Sophomore in 2020, starting all six games he played in, tying for the team-lead with 3 touchdowns. Ben Sims had his best season as a Junior in 2021, earning a Big-12 Honorable Mention with 31 receptions for 261 yards and 6 TDs. In his final year he'd pick up Second-Team All-Texas honors with 3 TDs and 255 yards on 31 grabs. Ben Sims leaves Waco as a a 7-time member of the Big-12 Commissioner's Honor Role.
