Skyy Moore recorded zero catches on just three targets in Week 1.
Fantasy owners with Skyy Moore in their active lineup were rewarded with an atrocious line after the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 1 Thursday Night matchup, hosting the Detroit Lions. A pre-season riser in fantasy circles, the 2nd-year receiver was expected to take on a bigger role in 2023, following a very quiet rookie campaign, as the Chiefs try and find an alpha in the wide receiver room. Judging from Thursday night’s one-point loss, the Chiefs are still looking.
Moore tallied an abysmal 0.4 PPR points during a performance which saw him garner three total targets from quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Moore did not record a catch in the affair. The points he did accrue came on a gadget handoff which saw Moore thunder for a 4-yard gain.
Moore, the producer of a 22 catch, 250 yard rookie season, was out-targeted by TE Noah Gray, RB Isaiah Pacheco, and WRs Justin Watson, Kadarius Toney, and rookie Rashee Rice, all of whom pulled down at least one reception. Moore quieted the off-season buzz in one week and remains a fantasy wait-n’-see. Based on usage and performance, it is not advised to include Moore in your lineup until further notice.
