The Washington Commanders have signed Zach Ertz to a one-year deal
Zach Ertz has signed a one-year contract worth up to $5 million with the Washington Commanders. After being released by the Cardinals midway through last season, Ertz signed with the Lions in January. He ultimately didn’t appear in a game for Detroit through their playoff run.
Ertz’s best days are clearly behind him; however, he still garnered a significant number of targets last season. That led to him being one of the least efficient tight ends in football, and why the Cardinals released him. Nonetheless, with the Commanders quarterback situation set to improve Ertz should still be rostered in most dynasty leagues. A top 12 season isn’t within his range of outcomes, but he could be servicable in deeper leagues and during bye weeks in 2024.
