Zach Ertz has signed a one-year contract worth up to $5 million with the Washington Commanders. After being released by the Cardinals midway through last season, Ertz signed with the Lions in January. He ultimately didn’t appear in a game for Detroit through their playoff run.

Ertz’s best days are clearly behind him; however, he still garnered a significant number of targets last season. That led to him being one of the least efficient tight ends in football, and why the Cardinals released him.
