Rashid Shaheed has been tendered by the Saints and will return on a one year contract worth $985k.
While there is zero guaranteed money in Shaheed’s contract, it’s a no brainer that he will be back on the field for the Saints in 2024 after displaying high end explosiveness during his first two seasons.
Shaheed has been a best ball hero of sorts, putting up wildly inconsistent production and having the ability to finish as a top-20 Wide Receiver any given week. In 2023, he posted 4 separate performances with over 18 ppr fantasy points, while scoring less than 8 points in nine games where he was fully healthy.
Look for Shaheed to continue to be a boom/bust option in 2024, with it being likely that he will be catching passes from Derek Carr. Carr struggled with a shoulder injury last year which many believe hindered his ability to throw it deep, and may have had a negative impact on Shaheed’s production. Shaheed has shown development in his first two seasons, and fantasy managers can expect him to produce in 2024 with better QB play, putting him firmly on best ball draft radars.
