The Denver Broncos, Skeptical of Jarrett Stidham, Looking to Trade up From 12 at the Draft to Secure Their Franchise Quarterback
9 months ago

The Denver Broncos, skeptical of Jarrett Stidham, could be looking to trade up from 12 at the draft to secure their franchise quarterback.

The Arizona Cardinals could be looking to start a bidding war for their coveted #4 overall pick, as rumors are swirling that they could be looking to sell it for a king’s ransom. One of those teams rumored to be in the mix for the pick are the Denver Broncos, who currently hold the 12th overall pick and would be looking to trade up. After the Broncos cut ties with former starting quarterback Russell Wilson, they only have Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci under contract for the 2024 season. J.J McCarthy has been linked to that 4th overall pick and the Vikings and Raiders could also be heavily in the mix to trade up the pick.

If the Broncos fail in the attempt to move up and snag one of the top 4 picks in the draft, they could also look at drafting a rookie like Michael Penix, Spencer Rattler, or Bo Nix with their 2nd round pick if any of them are still available. There aren’t any noteworthy veterans left on the market that would be a major upgrade from Stidham, and at 27 years old, he could very well be the best option the Broncos have heading into 2024 at the position.
