AJ Barner is a tight end for the Seattle Seahawks. His football career started in Aurora, Ohio, where he played tight end and defensive end. He would be selected as the as the Northeast Ohio Division III Defensive Player of the Year during his senior season. Barner would sign a letter of intent to play for Indiana University as a three-star prospect. He instantly saw the field as a tight end, and he would be named a team captain his sophomore season. After his sophomore season, he would transfer to Michigan and contribute as a starter, and was placed on the John Mackey watchlist at the start of his senior season. The Seahawks drafted Barner in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft. He should get plenty of opportunities for snaps behind Noah Fant.
