You may have already been in several Underdog Fantasy Football Best Ball Drafts prior to reading this article. If so, you’ll have already seen some of these wild ADPs. If not, let me enlighten you! Here are 5 players that I truly hate at their current ADP. That being said, if everyone is drafting these guys in the early rounds, the better players will be falling to us and I’m ok with that.

Travis Kelce
Since making deep eye contact at a press table while answering my question, I can’t help but suddenly like Travis Kelce. Here’s the thing… I don’t like him at TE2 and being drafted at 36 overall. Personally, I don’t know that I see him among the top 5 tight ends this season. Is that a hot take? I don’t think it is. Kelce is enjoying life and entering a new chapter, checking the next age range box in demographic surveys, turning 35 in October.
His productivity decreased significantly year over year, although he did play two fewer games in 2023. Would playing two more games have made up for seven fewer touchdowns, 354 fewer yards, and a 15-percent decrease in yards per reception? Highly unlikely. The regression is real and honestly, he’s not fighting it. He’s happy. It’s Travis Kelce. He’s got a great thing going, but he shouldn’t be going at the TE2.
Cooper Kupp
As much as I love Cooper Kupp as a human, his ADP of WR22 (overall 30) in Underdog Fantasy Football drafts is way too high for me. Kupp has been plagued with injuries over the last two years, missing an average of six games per season. While he did manage five receiving touchdowns, he also had a career-low average of 1.77 yards per route run. Kupp turns 31 during the 2024 season, which makes him part of the “aging” class. Not only does he have to contend with age and injury risk, but he also has to contend with a much younger Puka Nacua stealing the spotlight and the target share.
Devon Achane
Currently sitting at RB7 with an overall ADP of 24, Devon Achane is another name drafters have been saying is way too high in ADP. I agree. He’s talented, don’t get me wrong. I just can’t see why he’s flying off the board so soon.
Achane has said that one of his goals over the off-season was to gain more strength in order to withstand the punishment of the NFL. He spent quite a bit of time nursing a knee injury. It’s been reported that he’ll be looking to expand his role from running back to wideout in order to stay healthier and extend his career. I don’t know how I feel about that. It seems like this would give the edge to Mostert as the more desirable lead running back. You be the judge, but RB7 and 24 overall are way too high for Achane.
Jonathon Brooks
I asked our community on X who else they thought was too high in ADP and Jonathon Brooks came up multiple times. Underdog Fantasy Football Best Ball ADP has him at RB22 (overall 86) which puts him ahead of players like Raheem Mostert, Javonte Williams, and Tony Pollard. Are we that thirsty?
Brooks isn’t even fully healed from a torn ACL and drafters are apparently okay with that. It seems logical to me that the Panthers would go easy on Brooks this season to avoid reinjury and allow him to get acclimated to the NFL. The kid is still only 20 years old. Why the rush to crown him the second coming of King Henry? This pick speaks for itself without much evidence needed.
Anthony Richardson
Coming off the excitement of last year’s NFL Draft, we all fell in love with Anthony Richardson. What a great guy! He played catch in the parking lot, was great with the press, and played four games that gave fantasy managers an average of 25 FPPG. A season-ending shoulder injury took him out for the rest of the season, but the hype machine seems to think he’ll be back with a vengeance.
Richardson is currently being drafted as the QB5 (overall 55). That’s way too high in my opinion. This ADP is putting him over everyone other than the elite Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and randomly, C.J. Stroud. Stroud is another young quarterback whose name has popped up frequently as too high in the ADP. If you’re taking Richardson over Joe Burrow, you can have him. I need more proof before I give up what’s more or less a given in quarterbacks falling later in the draft.
