NFL Weather Week 1 Report

by Matt Babich · Fantasy Football

Every year, bad weather impacts NFL production and leaves fantasy gamers frustrated. You don’t just need to know the weather forecasts relevant to your fantasy teams, but what to do in the event of unfriendly weather conditions. Each week, I’ll provide the weather forecasts for each notable (outdoor) NFL matchup, weather to worry about the weather, and what to do if conditions are deemed unplayable for fantasy purposes. Without further ado, let’s quickly review the weather forecasts for this week’s notable fantasy matchups. This is the NFL Weather Week 1 Report!

Notable Matchups

Arizona Cardinals @ Buffalo Bills (12:00 PM CST)

  • Partly Cloudy, High of 64°F
  • No precipitation
  • 16 mph winds, with gusts up to 31 mph

With no precipitation and minimal wind impact, fantasy players on these teams will be good to go for your lineups on Sunday.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Miami Dolphins (12:00 PM CST)

  • Partly Cloudy, High of 92°F
  • No precipitation
  • 11 mph winds, with gusts up to 17 mph

The only thing to worry about here is the Miami heat (not the basketball team). No weather impact in this game.

Houston Texans @ Indianapolis Colts (12:00 PM CST)

  • Sunny, High of 71°F
  • No precipitation
  • Minimal wind impact (open-roof dome)

The dome is open this Sunday in Indianapolis, no weather impact in this game.

Tennessee Titans @ Chicago Bears (12:00 PM CST)

  • Sunny, High of 74°F
  • No precipitation
  • 8 mph winds, with gusts up to 15 mph

A relatively calm day in the Windy City, no weather impact in this game.

Dallas Cowboys @ Cleveland Browns (3:25 PM CST)

  • Sunny, High of 67°F
  • No precipitation
  • 13 mph winds, with gusts up to 21 mph

It’ll be a beautiful day in Cleveland, Ohio, no weather impact in this game.

Washington Commanders @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3:00 PM CST)

  • Cloudy, High of 89°F
  • 25-percent chance of light rainfall at kickoff and throughout the evening
  • 4 mph winds, with gusts up to 10 mph

Florida is notorious for “false-positives” when it comes to forecasting rain. With a daily total of .47-inches of rain expected, and no showers forecasted, I’m not bumping down any players in this game.

If anything, I’ll bump up Rachaad White and Brian Robinson. Keep a close eye on this weather pattern up to kickoff.

New York Jets @ San Francisco 49ers (Mon 7:15 PM CST)

  • Sunny, High of 69°F
  • No precipitation
  • 11 mph winds, with gusts up to 16 mph

A perfect day for Monday Night Football, no weather impact in this game.
