Week 3 Kicker Streamers: Top Streaming Options for the Kicker Position

by Jared Michelizzi · Waiver Wire

Welcome to week 3 of the weekly kicker rankings – the top streaming options at kicker article. Looking back at our Week 2 options we are off to a good start. Our three kickers were 100-percent accurate in their kicks. I mentioned last week we can attack lazy managers and that still remains the case. People are slow to adjust early in the season to the kicker trends and rankings that are taking shape in the new season.

Again we are focusing on kickers available in at least 40% of yahoo leagues meaning they are likely on the wire in most home leagues and even a large percentage of FFPC leagues.

Kicker Streamers for Week 2

Daniel Carlson (Available 86%) vs. Carolina Panthers

Daniel Carlson is a top 3 kicker in the league, and one could argue the best overall when it comes to kicker rankings. He just outdueled Justin Tucker in a battle of kicking titans in Week 2. His main issue is he plays for the Las Vegas Raiders. However, this past week he reminded us of his potential. He hit two 50+ Yard Field Goals (51,53) along with a 25 yarder and the game winner from 38. He rounded out his day with 2 XP’s going a total of 6/6 on his opportunities. This week the Raiders take on the stone worst NFL team. He should get multiple opportunities in this match up against the Carolina Panthers. Pick him up as he truly has the leg to swing matchups which is an amazing asset for a waiver wire pickup.

Jake Bates (Available 79%) vs. Arizona Cardinals

Jake Bates is back again this week. and I have the feeling he might be appearing here for a while. He came through last week in the Lions loss going 3-3 on field goals and adding an extra point. The only knock-on Bates so far is all of his kicks have been astoundingly short. His longest kick is coming from 35 yards out. To be fair though, he can only convert the opportunities he is given. This season he is perfect going 5-5 on those opportunities. The rest of this feels like a copy and paste from last week. The Lions are in another high scoring matchup this week against the Cardinals. It is again the highest O/U on the slate coming in at 51.5. We still don’t fully know his ceiling yet as we haven’t seen the longer attempts but continue to lock in his floor and await the results of what happens when he gets the longer opportunities.

Chris Boswell (Available 74%) vs. Los Angeles Chargers

I considered keeping Dustin Hopkins in this spot and he remains a good option, but I wanted to give you something fresh to choose from. Boswell had a monster Week 1 going off for 26 fantasy points. In that outing he hit three 50+ yard field goals This last week he came back to earth scoring nine fantasy points. It is worth noting he hit another 50 yarder though. So far this year he has demonstrated both a good floor and ceiling. This is exactly what I want to see. This week in his match up against the Chargers I could see him getting several opportunities. The Steelers are good enough to move the ball and get in field goal range but will continue to struggle to score a steady stream of touchdowns with Justin Fields under center. The Chargers have shown to have a stout defense under Jim Harbaugh, and although this could be lower scoring, I see plenty of opportunity for the field goal kickers on both sides to rack up the points and end up atop the kicker rankings in week 3.

Good luck in Week 3! If you have any questions, you can find me in the discord where I’m always available to answer any questions or on X!
