Every year, bad weather impacts NFL production and leaves fantasy gamers frustrated. You don’t just need to know the weather forecasts relevant to your fantasy teams, but what to do in the event of unfriendly weather conditions. Each week, I’ll provide the weather forecasts for each notable (outdoor) NFL matchup, weather to worry about the weather, and what to do if conditions are deemed unplayable for fantasy purposes. Without further ado, let’s quickly review the weather forecasts for this week’s notable fantasy matchups.
Notable Matchups
Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals (12:00 PM CST)
- Sunny, High of 83°F
- No precipitation
- 12 mph winds, with gusts up to 25 mph
Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars (12:00 PM CST)
- Cloudy, High of 79°F
- 60-percent chance of rain at kickoff
- 7 mph winds, with gusts up to 12 mph
Rain is expected all day in Jacksonville. Thankfully, the current forecast is for light rain, adding up to 0.65 inches over the course of the day. The field will be covered until pre-game warmups, limiting the on-field buildup. A little bit of rain doesn’t generally pose a massive threat to fantasy values. Obviously, the run game is leaned on a little more, but the passing game sees mild limitations as long as there’s not too much wind. Further, the low amounts of rain scattered across the region could mean the stadium sees very little precipitation.
Monitor pre-game conditions. If it looks like it may turn into heavier rain, it may be best to pivot away from Colts pass-catchers, Joe Flacco, and Trevor Lawrence.
Cleveland Browns @ Washington Commanders (12:00 PM CST)

- 7 mph winds, with gusts up to 15 mph
Carolina Panthers @ Chicago Bears (12:00 PM CST)
- Sunny, High of 71°F
- No precipitation
- 146mph winds, with gusts up to 28 mph
While the windy conditions could offer trouble in the passing game, these conditions weren’t an issue for Caleb Williams last week. So, I’m not worried this week either. Despite the conditions, I’m not fading anyone in this game.
Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers (3:25 PM CST)

- No precipitation
- 6 mph winds, with gusts up to 15 mph
New York Giants @ Seattle Seahawks (3:25 PM CST)
- Sunny, High of 67°F
- No precipitation
- 6 mph winds, with gusts up to 15 mph
Dallas Cowboys @ Pittsburgh Steelers (7:20 PM CST)
- Sunny, High of 81°F
- 57% chance of rain
- 6 mph winds, with gusts up to 15 mph
There’s a chance of a little storm rolling through Pittsburgh on Sunday night. The current projection is that there is a 51-percent chance of rain and storms at 7 pm, with the weather clearing up around 8.
With the Cowboys run defense, we were already expecting Pittsburgh’s offense to run through the ground game. Nothing will change there. There’s not enough information right now that would make me fade players in either of these passing games. Use Accuweather to monitor the hourly forecasts Sunday morning before making your final calls.
