Week 6 Kicker Streamers: Top Streaming Options for the Kicker Position

by Jared Michelizzi · Waiver Wire

Welcome to Week 6 of the weekly kicker rankings – the top streaming options at kicker article. Week 5 was a bit rough. Chris Boswell has maintained his consistency but hasn’t had any big scores lately. Joshua Karty came up with a measly one point. That will probably be the worst result of the year. Daniel Carlson continues to be a talented kicker in less than an ideal situation. No worries though, I love one of the options for Week 6, so we should be in good shape for the upcoming week.

Again, we are focusing on kickers available in at least 40% of yahoo leagues meaning they are likely on the wire in most home leagues and even a large percentage of FFPC leagues. This week a few of the guys that top the kicker rankings are creeping up in ownership, but you should have no problem finding a good option.

Kicker Streamers for Week 6

Chase McLaughlin (Available 51%) vs. New Orleans Saints

This is my favorite pick so far this year. Chase McLaughlin is currently No. 6 overall in kicker points. The Buccaneers have been putting up a lot of points every week. This week he will be kicking in a dome in one of the friendliest kicker environments in the league.

All signs point to a high floor for McLaughlin this week with the opportunity to have a blow-up game. Fire him up if you are lucky enough to have him available in your league.

Jake Bates (Available 79%) vs. Dallas Cowboys

Jake Bates will be the lower owned option for the week. He is still a relative unknown but so far this year has been solid. He is yet to miss a field goal and is 11/12 on extra points. The positives are the Lions offense has really moved the ball well this year. Going against Dallas this week, Mike Zimmer led defenses have a tendency to stiffen up in the Green Zone. This could create a number of field goal opportunities for Bates. The environment is good in Dallas. Bates hasn’t had a blow-up game yet, but this could be the week.

Chris Boswell (Available 51%) vs. Dallas Cowboys

Appearing for the fourth week in a row is Chris Boswell. He is inching close to the line where he will no longer be eligible for the article. As I have said before, I would be comfortable picking him up and riding with him the rest of the way (at a minimum for the next few weeks). He continues to get picked up off waivers every week, and it is well deserved. He is 12-13 on field goals for the year.

Additionally, he is a perfect 8-8 on extra points. He is consistent and provides a great floor. This week he goes to Las Vegas to face the struggling Raiders. It is a good kicking environment, and the Steelers should be able to put up points against the Raiders. Once again, I will be relying on Boswell and feel very confident about it.

Good luck in Week 6! If you have any questions, you can find me in the discord where I’m always available to answer any questions or on X!
