Rome Odunze is a Top-15 Fantasy Receiver

The 9th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft is picking up steam. Coming off the bye, he’s earned 6 and 7 targets in consecutive games, and chalked up his 2nd hundred-yard game in week 9. The Patriots struggle versus vertical playmakers and deep threats (see DK Metcalf‘s performance), and that best fits Odunze who wields a 94th-percentile Speed Score and the 7th-highest Average Depth of Target among receivers.

Christian Gonzalez will likely spend most of his time on DJ Moore, freeing up Odunze to have a big game. I think he crosses the hundred-yard mark and finds the end zone on double digit targets.

Russell Wilson Outscores Jayden Daniels

This may not be as crazy as you think. Russell Wilson dropped 24.9 fantasy points in his Steeler debut, a mark Jayden Daniels hasn’t hit since week 4. Pittsburgh will definitely be Daniels’ biggest test. His 3 worst games came from teams who have high blitz rates and get to the quarterback. The Steelers also force the 4th-most interceptions, the 14th-lowest Yards per Pass Attempt, and the lowest Red Zone touchdown percentage (TeamRankings). Not to mention, you have a Hall of Fame coach coming off a bye week versus a rookie.

Finally, on Wilson’s side, he’s going up against a Washington defense that’s allowing the 8th-highest completion percentage and the 5th-highest Red Zone touchdown percentage. They’ve also ceded 61-percent of their touchdowns through the air. I don’t think it’s crazy to think the Steelers get the best of the Commanders here.

James Cook has Over 125 All-Purpose Yards

The Colts may end up running extra 2-high looks in an attempt to slow down the heating up Bills’ passing game. Per Sports Info Solutions, the Bills are among the league leaders in rushing success versus such looks while the Colts are near the league bottom in rush defense success in two-high. This opens the gate for Cook to feast this week. He just had 133 all purpose yards against Seattle in week 9, and has at least 95 in 4 of 8 games this year.

Nick Wesbrook-Ikhine Finds the Endzone Again!

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has found the endzone in four straight games coming out of the bye. He’s also seen at least four targets in three straight weeks, with 6 looks against the Patriots. What changed coming out of the bye? His Red Zone role did. Westbrook-Ikhine has earned at least one Red Zone target in each game coming out of the bye.

The Titans face a still rushing matchup in the LA Chargers, who coincidentally allow 70-percent of their touchdowns through the air. With most of the attention going to Calvin Ridley, I think Westbrook-Ikhine has a good shot at finding pay dirt again.

Bo Nix turns Back Into a Pumpkin, Throws Multiple Picks

The Bo Nix Cinderella run has been fun, but all good things must come to an end. After 25-fantasy-point games in 3 of his last 5 games, Nix is going to look like a newbie against the Chiefs. Steve Spagnola is going to have Nix seeing ghosts. He loves sending extra rushers, and Nix has been bad under those situations. This week, Nix will have less than 12 fantasy points and throw multiple interceptions.
