Week 11 Defensive Streamers for Fantasy Football 2024: Best D/ST Options to Start

by Jonathan Lange · Fantasy Football

Welcome back to Defensive Rankings Week 11 – Top Defensive Streaming Options article! It’s Week 11 in the fantasy season, and I’ve got the streamers needed to get your teams the extra boost this week! We’re deep into the fantasy season, and some of those last-place teams have already given up hope. But here you are reading this!

Last week was a mixed bag. The Falcons and Giants were massive misses as both defenses combined for one sack and zero turnovers. Woof. However, the other two options exceeded expectations. The risky play was the Indianapolis defense, which finished the day with two sacks and two turnovers. The Rams were the other successful option, and they finished with three sacks and one turnover.

Last week was a mixed bag, and while there aren’t many options available to stream, there are two excellent options available. One quick reminder: All recommendations are available in 60% or more of Yahoo Leagues.

Note: The Miami Dolphins are available in 46% of leagues, and they would make for a strong play against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Los Angeles Rams (available in 66%) vs. New England Patriots

Let’s kick things off with my favorite option of the weekend, the Rams. New England doesn’t offer much firepower to fret over. The Patriots are near the bottom of the barrel in offensive touchdowns per game this season, averaging 1.6 touchdowns per game.

Drake Maye has flashed upside, and the future is bright for this franchise. But it is Week 11, and over the last five games, Maye has been sacked 12 times. The Patriots have the worst pressure rate allowed this season, so expect the duo of Jared Verse and Braden Fiske to keep Maye on his toes.

Cleveland Browns (available in 60%) vs. New Orleans Saints

I got burned last week suggesting that the Falcons defense would smother the new-look Saints offense. Time to tempt fate and challenge New Orleans again! I like the Browns in this spot fresh off their bye week. Derek Carr is notorious for crumbling under pressure, and the Browns defensive line is in the top half of the league in pressure rate. The Browns base defensive formation has only one single high safety, allowing for more defenders in the box. Unless Marquez Valdes-Scantling has another career performance, the Browns could finish as a top 10 DST for the week.

New Orleans Saints (available in 63%) vs. Cleveland Browns

I hesitated to put this in there, but there aren’t many quality streaming options available with low roster-ship numbers. The first game without Dennis Allen was a quality one, particularly on defense. This can be an excellent suggestion depending on which Jameis Winston shows up. He will either throw for two touchdowns or two interceptions. But the bigger fear is that the Saints are still weak against the run. This could be the Nick Chubb bounce back game we have been waiting for.

The Not-in-My-Leauge Option

Indianapolis Colts (available in 88%) vs. New York Jets

The Colts were the option I had for the most desperate of streamers, and it worked out. Can lightning strike twice? The Jets are an odd bunch. Davante Adams, Garrett Wilson, and Breece Hall should strike fear in opposing defenses. But instead, opposing defenses have feasted against gang green. Aaron Rodgers has looked uncomfortable in the pocket, and last Sunday he was at his worst against the Cardinals, finishing with only 151 passing yards.

Rodgers could absolutely flip the switch and light up this average Colts team. But if he doesn’t, the Colts will once again finish in the top 15 DST for the week. I would consider playing the Colts over the Saints defense, but I prefer the Browns and Rams over all the options listed.

Week 12 options to stash:

  • Washington (vs. Dallas): The Commanders will be in play to finish as a top five DST against the helpless Cowboy offense.
  • Tampa Bay (vs. New York Giants): The Giants offense has been unspectacular since losing LT Andrew Thomas. A QB change may not be enough to fix this offense, making the Buccaneers a quality DST play.
