Upside Wide Receivers For Week 10 GPPs

This weekly series covers several cost-efficient wide receivers who provide massive upside for GPP tournament lineups. These are typically wideouts with high volatility in a pass-heavy environment in a game projected to produce a lot of points. We’ll use advanced stats and metrics from the PlayerProfiler Data Analysis Tool to identify each player.

Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos

The Jerry Jeudy breakout is in full swing. The first-rounder from Alabama has seen 24 targets over the last two weeks. He received 14 of those in Week 9, converting seven for 125 yards and a touchdown in last Sunday’s loss to the Falcons. Jeudy has scored twice in the last five weeks and has been particularly dominant over the last two, thanks to a noticeable bump in usage within the Denver offense. In games against the Chargers and Falcons, Jeudy’s Snap Share has resided at 96.5-percent and 91.4-percent while achieving season-highs of 40 and 50 routes run. He also has 355 combined Air Yards over that stretch. As a result, he set season-high marks in receiving yards in each contest.

Jeudy has a season-long Average Target Distance of 13.9, No. 22 among qualified wide receivers, with 13 (No. 12) Deep Targets. He will look to build on last week’s WR8 performance against a Raiders defense that has surrendered 37.9 Fantasy Points per Game to wide receivers. His DraftKings salary of $5,600 is not in line with his recent performance. Take advantage.

Jalen Reagor, Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Reagor returned from a five-week absence to put up three receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown prior to the Philadelphia’s Week 9 bye. He added one carry for six yards. Reagor was thrust right back into a starting gig upon his return with an 83.3-percent Snap Share. Before landing on IR, he saw 84.1-percent of the snaps in Week 2.

While he only managed to connect for 16 yards in Week 8, Reagor was targeted six times (21.4-percent) with 81 Air Yards. The 2020 first-rounder is set to explode in the second half of the season. That may start in Week 10 against a Giants who has allowed the 10th-most Fantasy Points per Game to wide receivers. At $4,200, Reagor is one of the most intriguing plays of the week.

Christian Kirk, Arizona Cardinals

Jalen Reagor‘s Best Comparable Player is Christian Kirk, who is also a great upside play in Week 10. Kirk has been hot over the last three games, finishing as a top-15 wide receiver with seven or more targets in each. That includes last Sunday’s performance of five receptions (eight targets) for 123 yards and a touchdown. He led the team with season-highs in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. His 56-yard score in the first half was his fifth touchdown over his last three games.

Kirk has a 17.4 (No. 10) Yards Per Reception average and a 32.2-percent (No. 8) Dominator Rating. With the Bills likely focused on locking down DeAndre Hopkins—much like the Dolphins did—Kirk is in line for another high Target Share. With another boom week looming, he’s a nice play at $5,700.

Chase Claypool, Pittsburgh Steelers 

Chase Claypool is quickly emerging as the Pittsburgh’s WR1. While he was held to 69 yards in last Sunday’s win over the Cowboys, Claypool led the team with a 29.9-percent Target Share and 133 Air Yards. His 13 targets were a career high.

Claypool seeing increasing volume is exciting considering how efficient he’s been with his opportunities. He averages 0.61 (No. 4) Fantasy Points per Route Run and 2.51 (No. 8) Fantasy Points per Target, while boasting a +19.3 (No. 13) Production Premium and a+45.2-percent (No. 7) Target Premium. And he is getting looks downfield, as indicated by his 12 (No. 18) Deep Targets. He’ll face a vulnerable Bengals secondary in Week 10 and is priced at $5,800 on DraftKings.
