The 2024 NFL Combine took place February 29 – March 3, 2024. Below are the biggest risers in dynasty fantasy football based on their performances at the Combine.
Trey Benson – RB | Florida State
Trey Benson weighed in at 216-pounds and ran a 4.39 40. Other notable recent backs to weigh in at 215-plus and run a similar 40 time were Jonathan Taylor, Breece Hall and Kenneth Walker. All were selected in the second round of the NFL Draft. Benson was the first FSU Seminole to rush for 200 yards in a game since Dalvin Cook. He has a chance at similar draft capital to Cook in this upcoming Draft.
Jaylen Wright – RB | Tennessee
Jaylen Wright ran a 4.38 40, weighing in at 210-pounds. He missed the Senior Bowl, and it was important for him to stand out in Indianapolis, which he certainly did. Wright rushed for 1,000 yards last season in the SEC, and has the sort of athleticism that NFL teams crave. He will be drafted on Day Three and is the best Tennessee volunteer RB prospect since Alvin Kamara.
Rome Odunze – WR | Washington
Rome Odunze looked every bit the part of an Alpha WR1 who is expected to be selected early in the NFL Draft. He measured in at 6-3 and 212-pounds. His 4.45 40 was more than enough for NFL teams and dynasty managers alike to get excited.
Odunze is a WR1 at the next level and a player would could receive a 25-percent Target Share early on in his career. This weekend’s combine performance was icing on the cake for a Teflon talent like Odunze.
Xavier Worthy – WR | Texas
We knew Xavier Worthy was fast, but he was fast, fast. I mean fast, fast, fast. Worthy set an NFL combine record with a blazing 4.21 40-yard Dash.

Worthy then posted the 4th highest vertical leap among all WRs at the 2024 NFL Combine. Worthy only weighed in at 165-pounds, but more than made up for it with his testing numbers. The last two WRs to run the 40 in the same range (John Ross, Henry Ruggs) were both selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. Expect Worthy to hear his name called there as well.
Adonai Mitchell – WR | Texas
Worthy was not the only Texas Longhorns receiver to post eye-opening testing numbers. Adonai Mitchell, who led Texas in TD receptions with 11 last season, ran a jaw-dropping and unexpected 4.35 40. He then backed up the stunning speed (I expected Mitchell in the 4.5s) with a 39.5-inch vertical at 6-2 and 205-pounds. Mitchell will join Worthy among the top-40 selections, and has a great shot to hear his name called in round one.
Ricky Pearsall – WR | Florida
Ricky Pearsall has been gaining steam since the Senior Bowl, and he doubled down on the momentum with a very strong performance at the Combine.
Pearsall posted the third-highest vertical leap among WRs (42-inches) and ran a 4.41 40 with a 10’9” broad jump. This sort of eye-opening athleticism ensures Pearsall is now nearly a Day Two lock. An older prospect, Pearsall had some highlight reel catches this year for Florida, and finished the season with 965 receiving yards.
Theo Johnson – TE | Penn State
Last season, Brenton Strange was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. After Theo Johnson’s performance on Friday, we could see another Penn State TE selected on Day Two. Johnson had the highest RAS score since 1987. He ran a 4.57 40 and posted a 39.5-inch vertical leap at 6-6, 259-pounds. Insane numbers.
Michael Penix, Jr. – QB | Washington
Michael Penix has been on a roller coaster ride after a poor performance in the National Title game, followed up by an uneventful Senior Bowl. But the combine was a major win for him. Medical concerns were alleviated, and his massive hand size (top-10 all-time), wing span, and arm length are comparable to Anthony Richardson’s.

Penix showed off his arm talent in a major way and was arguably the most impressive QB during passing drills. Penix could sneak into the back of the first round.
Ben Sinnott – TE | Kansas State
Ben Sinnott ran a faster 40-time (4.68) than Ja’Tavion Sanders (4.69), and backed it up with a 40-inch (WOW!) vertical, which led all TEs. A versatile player at Kansas State who lined up all over the field, Sinnott is in contention for top-three TE draft capital in this class. He caught 49 passes this season for KSU and led the Wildcats in receiving yards and TD catches.
Marshawn Lloyd – RB | USC
Marshawn Lloyd put on a show in Mobile at the Senior Bowl and put himself in contention for RB1 in the class. His 4.46 40-yard Dash at 220-pounds resulted in a 111 Speed Score – a very impressive number. Lloyd looked fluid and impressive in every single drill. There is nothing but positive vibes for Lloyd now heading into USC’s Pro Day. Expect to hear his name called on Day Two.
Isaac Guerendo – RB | Louisville
Learn the name Isaac Guerendo. Guerendo led all RBs in the 40 at 4.33, as well as the vertical at 41.5 inches – all while weighing in at a rock solid 220-pounds.
Guerendo’s Speed Score was a mind-numbing 125.7 – one of the highest of all time. He rushed for over 800 yards with 22 catches this past season for Louisville.
Malik Washington – WR | Virginia
Malik Washington had a very strong Shrine Bowl performance. He was a mega-producer this season at UVA (110 receptions for 1,426 yards), and now put up one of the better performances among WRs at the combine. Washington weighed in at a strong 192-pounds at 5-foot-8.5-inches, and led all WRs with a 42.5-inch vertical. He backed up the strong vertical with a 4.47 40-yard Dash. Despite the strength of the 2024 WR class, it is hard to envision Washington not being selected on Day Two.
