“Lineup Makers” are key in DFS on FanDuel in Week 14. These players have a high chance to meet or exceed value without siphoning off a large portion of salary. While they won’t always win you a slate, they will let you afford the guys that do. Here is a list of viable Lineup Makers that have popped using advanced stats and metrics.
LeSean McCoy, RB: $5700
Home favorite running backs are generally a good spot to target in DFS. LeSean McCoy has yet to finish as an RB1 in any week this season, but his best game of the year was a 24.3-point outing at the Jets in Week 10. The Jets are expecting to have Sam Darnold back, who has thrown 23 interceptable passes, most among QBs. Expect turnovers, short fields, and another dominant effort on the ground from McCoy.
Jeff Wilson, RB: $5600
Turns out Matt Breida is mortal. After aggravating his ankle injury last week, Breida has been ruled out for this weeks matchup with Denver. In steps the undrafted North Texas product, Jeff Wilson.
Wilson received 23 touches last week filling in for Breida, and that included eight receptions on nine targets. While plodder Alfred Morris will be active and steal some early down work this coming week, Wilson’s passing game role should stick. Another 20+ touch game for him is attainable at a very cheap price.
Golden Tate, WR: $5700
Just as Stefon Diggs shields Adam Thielen from top cover corners, Alshon Jeffery protects Golden Tate. Jeffery will be guarded by Byron Jones, PlayerProfiler’s top-ranked CB. Tate will be guarded by a mix of Anthony Brown and Chidobe Awuzie, who are both outside the top-50. After putting together a solid 7/85/1 receiving line last week, he is primed to smash against Dallas.
Chris Godwin, WR: $5600
Chris Godwin made this article last week and smashed value with over 100 yards and a touchdown. FanDuel decided to ignore his output and matchup, pricing him at only $5600 against Saints CB Eli Apple. The last time these two teams met, 88 points were scored. Getting a piece of this game should be a priority, and Godwin is an easy target.
Courtland Sutton, WR: $5600
Courtland Sutton finally put together a solid game with four catches, 85 yards, and a touchdown against the Bengals last week. The Broncos will need more of this, as Emmanuel Sanders was just lost for the season with a torn Achilles. Sutton, who was averaging an NFL-leading 19.9 yards per reception, will now receive a volume bump in the short and intermediate range.

The 49ers give up the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing WRs on FanDuel, so Sutton can easily smash his salary. DaeSean Hamilton will assume the slot role on the offense, so he is worth a roll in GPPs as well.
Robert Foster, WR: $5100
Robert Foster is the ideal contrarian GPP play. Many people will see Zay Jones‘ box score from last week and jump on him, but Foster is an ideal target. He will step into a full-time role in the wake of TE Kelvin Benjamin‘s release and operate as the “stretch-X” receiver.
Foster has an absurd average target distance of 32 yards of the last three weeks, courtesy of airyards.com. He also posted a 4.41 (92nd-percentile) 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. Foster is a prototypical deep threat and will have extra opportunities to burn the sixth-worst secondary.
Ian Thomas, TE: $4900
With Greg Olsen aggravating his foot injury, Ian Thomas will slide into the starting TE role for both the Carolina Panthers and our DFS teams. Thomas posted a modest 5/46 receiving line last week and now sets his sights on the Browns. They have been ravaged by injuries to their LBs, who routinely match up with opposing TEs. The Panthers should move the ball with ease and put Thomas in position to gain cheap yards against the Browns diminished linebacker corp. If you’re paying down at TE, Thomas is the way to go.
