Week 12 Review
Steps away from an unreal week, Derrick Henry finished with three touchdowns alone on Sunday. Garnering all three in the first half, Ryan Tannehill sniped the fourth rushing touchdown from the one-yard line late in the second quarter. Of course, Josh Jacobs and Dalvin Cook deal with injuries and unforeseen negative Game Script, resulting in zero touchdowns.
Finishing 0-of-2 on Sunday dropped our season total by $10, we currently sit at $165.
Week 13
The final week of the fantasy football regular season means the final week of our Monkey Knife Fight Props as our focus turns to the playoffs. We are gifted a tough slate, with poor matchups and low scoring totals. In Week 13, we are using two of the worst teams in football, Cincinnati and the New York Jets, in a shootout opportunity.
No. 1) Cody’s Prop of the Week: Go Long: Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets
Prop: Denzel Mims, Breshad Perriman, Darren Waller Over 210.5 Yards
Typically we stay away from bad teams in props or fantasy, but this week there are only a few strong games to play. Denzel Mims and Breshad Perriman have combined for 253, 301, and 244 Air Yards over the last three games, with each eclipsing 100. The result has been 163, 125, and 146 combined receiving yards in that stretch, playing strong defenses in New England, Miami, and the Chargers.
In Week 13, Mims and Perriman bring upper 90th-percentile Speed Scores up against a battered Las Vegas Raiders pass defense. Missing star safeties Johnathan Abram, and Lamarcus Joyner, and with both starting cornerbacks riding the injury report each of the last two weeks, expect Mims and Perriman to close in on 200 yards between them.
Darren Waller has been the No. 2 tight end in football this year. While Travis Kelce gets all the buzz, Waller is still No. 1 in Target Share by 4.0-percent. Waller lines up in the slot on 13.0.-percent of his snaps, and has garnered seven-plus targets in eight of 12 games. The Jets defense is No. 30 against WRs and No. 18 against TEs in yards allowed, but operating as the true No. 1 option, Waller looks to dominate a young Jets secondary.
No. 2) The Podfather’s Prop of the Week: Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins
Prop: Brandon Allen, Myles Gaskin, Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgins Less, and DeVante Parker More.
The Podfather’s Prop of the Week comes from Miami in Week 13, featuring the 2020 NFL Draft’s top two picks from the Dolphins and Bengals. Unfortunately, neither Tua Tagovailoa nor Joe Burrow will play on Sunday. Instead, we will see a battle between Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brandon Allen, where The Podfather sees the Dolphins defense putting the clamps on Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins.
The Podfather broke down the rest of the Bengals, Dolphins game on the Propcast Happy Hour on Friday Night. Catch it every Friday at 5:00 pm ET or re-watch it at any time.
