Trading is one of the most exhilarating parts of fantasy football. Finding the underperformers and overachievers is one of the hardest things to do (especially the latter), but it’s crucial to strike while the iron is still hot. It may be hard to part with players coming off of good games, but you have to realize that it won’t always be like that for some guys. On the contrary, finding guys with talent and opportunity is the best way to identify buy-lows for fantasy football trades. Be patient and keep the faith! Let’s look at some players on both sides of the coin today.

Fantasy Football Week 6 Buy Trade Targets
Trey McBride (TE, ARI)
McBride has seen incredible usage, earning at least a 29-percent target share in three of his four games this season. We know he has the big-play ability in him, we just haven’t seen it yet this season. The Cardinals have the easiest remaining strength of schedule for tight ends, and he’s seeing the volume we dreamt of. The production will follow, so be patient and buy McBride as a top-five tight end with elite upside.
De’Von Achane (RB, MIA)
Achane has had a tough three-week stretch without Tua Tagovailoa. He went from averaging 26.3 points in the first two weeks to just averaging 7.3 points in Weeks 3 and 4 before being knocked out of Week 5’s contest with a concussion. With the Dolphins getting a bye in Week 6 and reports of a potential Week 8 return for Tua, now is the time to buy Achane. It’s clear by his 19-percent target share and 32 carries over the first two weeks that the Dolphins want to heavily feature Achane in this offense. Eat the bye week and buy the electric sophomore as an elite running back while you still can.
Chase Brown (RB, CIN)
Brown has been heating up over the last two weeks, finishing as a top-12 running back in each week. He’s seen a majority of the Bengals’ running back carries in both games and has scored three total touchdowns over the last two outings. He’s clearly the most explosive back on the Bengals, averaging an impressive 5.6 yards per carry on the season. Brown’s rising utilization should continue to trend upward as Zack Moss sprained his ankle late in the Bengals’ Week 5 loss. Chase Brown could have this backfield all to himself in Week 6, a massive opportunity to assert himself as a breakout player in 2024.
Fantasy Football Week 6 Sell Trade Targets
Chuba Hubbard (RB, CAR)
Hubbard is coming off a fantastic trio of matchups against bottom-12 run defenses. His schedule gets much more challenging beginning this week against a stout Falcons run defense that allows the fifth-fewest points to opposing running backs. He has the sixth-hardest-remaining schedule, and Jonathon Brooks is set to return in the next couple of weeks. Chuba has been great, but if you can sell him to someone who believes he is a long-term asset, I would capitalize.
Garrett Wilson (WR, NYJ)
Wilson was peppered with second-half targets in the Jets’ loss to the pass-funnel Vikings defense. Wilson caught 13 of 22 targets for 101 yards and a touchdown, the third-fewest yards by a player with 20 or more targets in a game ever. That type of volume is not sustainable, and the gauntlet of a schedule continues for Wilson. According to FantasyPros’ strength of schedule tool, Wilson has one of the ten hardest remaining schedules. That includes matchups against respectable cornerbacks Joey Porter Jr. and Christian Gonzalez in two of the next three weeks.
Michael Pittman Jr. (WR, IND)
Pittman is coming off back-to-back solid games after a brutal start to the season that resulted in 88 yards over three games. He saw just a 16-percent target share in Week 5 and finished with less than 40 yards for the fourth time in five games. Pittman did, however, catch a touchdown, making his fantasy score far more appealing. The only problem is that Joe Flacco has been the Colts’ quarterback for the last two weeks. The veteran is a huge upgrade over Anthony Richardson for Pittman’s game. If you can sell on the touchdown and his name value for any true WR2, DO IT!
While it may be hard to part with these guys after some monster performances, timing is everything. There is no worse feeling than turning down a trade only for your “star” player to turn around and drop a dud the following week, absolutely plummeting his value. Be smart, see the big picture, and happy trading!
