Below, Bradley Stalder identifies premium fantasy football flex players for fantasy Week 11.

In this weekly flex plays article, I identify three players outside the top 50 projected FLEX starters who will “win” the FLEX. How do I define “winning” the FLEX position? If a player earns at least 12.5 points in half-point PPR scoring, that’s a “win.” Anything less is a loss. I also identify one player outside the top-100 in projected points for the week as my long-shot, double-or-nothing score. Throughout the season, I’ll offer players I think will “win” the FLEX each week, and update how I did last week as accountability.

Week 10 Record: 0-3

Running Records 14-20 , 41-percent

Jauan Jennings | WR, San Francisco 49ers

Jauan Jennings is rostered on 3-percent of teams, but only projected to start on 1-percent. He projects as the 59th-highest FLEX player in Week 11. Jennings ranks as the WR19 in fantasy points per game on the season. In his first game back from a hip injury, Jennings earned 11 targets and caught seven passes for 93 yards against the Buccaneers. Jennings played the Brandon Aiyuk role, and will continue to do so as Aiyuk remains out of the lineup with an ACL tear. The fifth-year vet ranks No. 23 in Target Rate, No. 20 in Red Zone Targets, No. 5 in Yards Per Route Run, and No. 13 in Yards Per Target. He is the downfield-winner for the San Francisco 49ers. Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey mostly operate closer to the line of scrimmage.

The 49ers are 6.5-point favorites against the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks, coming off a bye, do rank No. 28 in wide receiver fantasy points allowed. Jennings should, however, earn enough targets and red zone opportunities to rival the 12.50 point threshold.

TJ Hockenson | TE, Minnesota Vikings

TJ Hockenson is rostered on 79-percent of teams and projected to start on 6-percent. He projects as the 61st-highest FLEX player for Week 11. Hockenson hasn’t played a full-game’s worth of snaps yet and still ranks No. 50 among tight ends in fantasy points on the season. In his second contest returning from the PUP List, Hockenson caught eight passes on nine targets for 72 yards. That production earned him the No. 6 tight end in fantasy scoring on the Week. Hockenson ranked in the top-6 in tight end scoring six weeks in 2023. Among the fifteen tight ends with at least six targets in Week 10, only Trey McBride had a higher PFF receiving grade than Hockenson. Hock is all the way back.

Normally, the Tennessee Titans are stingy against the tight end position. They rank as the No. 30 team in receiving points allowed and No. 31 in tight end points allowed. However, the Vikings offense has struggled as of late. In a game where Minnesota is only favored by six, Hockenson will be relied on heavily as a safety valve for Darnold.

Austin Ekeler| RB, Washington Commanders

Austin Ekeler is rostered on 88-percent of teams, and projected to start on 26-percent of them. Ekeler projects as the 71st-highest FLEX player for Week 11. There is no slowing down Austin Ekeler. He ranks No. 1 among running backs in receiving Explosive Play Rating and No. 4 in overall Explosive Play Rating. The Commanders also run the No. 4 most run plays per game, buoyed by Jayden Daniels’ rushing along with Ekeler and Brian Robinson. Ekeler has quietly put up a resurgent season, ranking No. 5 in fantasy points per opportunity, No. 8 in receiving yards, No. 1 in yards per touch, and No. 1 in yards per reception.

Brian Robinson‘s absence in a game where the Commanders are projected underdogs should lead to a continued increased role for Ekeler. It’s the perfect storm of volume and efficiency that should get Ekeler back into RB1 territory.

Deep Cut: Adonai Mitchell | WR, Indianapolis Colts

Adonai Mitchell is rostered on 61-percent of teams and projected to start on 6-percent. He projects as the 152nd-highest FLEX player for Week 11, per Sleeper. With Michael Pittman out in Week 10, Mitchell played a season-high 94-percent of snaps and earned six targets and caught all six for 71 receiving yards. Pittman is unlikely to play in Week 11 at this point. Mitchell ranks No. 3 among wide receivers in Target Rate, No. 4 in target depth, No. 14 in Unrealized Air Yards, and No. 1 in Target Rate versus man coverage. Joe Flacco is still the Quarterback for the Colts, who has looked Mitchell’s way downfield when he has been on the field.

With the departure of Robert Saleh, the once vaunted NY Jets defense now has allowed among the most points and yards in the NFL to opposing offenses over the last few weeks. On the season, the Jets allow the No. 21-most fantasy points to wide receivers. Mitchell is a high-risk, high-reward FLEX option.
