Welcome to Week 8 of the weekly kicker rankings, where we present the top streaming options at the kicker position. Week 7 was a tremendous follow up to our strong Week 6! All three kickers outperformed their median projections. Two of the three put up over 14 fantasy points. We are really hitting our stride now: multiple ceiling games from streaming kickers is no small accomplishment. Watching the roster percentages closely week to week, I can really see how slow to react the average fantasy owner is. People rely far too much on previous name value and prior year results. Since you are here reading this, you are ahead of the game. I feel great about the options again this week so find one that is available in your league and fire them up!
Again, we are focusing on kickers available in at least 40-percent of Yahoo leagues, meaning they are likely on the wire in most home leagues and even a large percentage of FFPC leagues. This week, a few of the players that top the kicker rankings are are creeping up in ownership, but you should have no problem finding a good option.

Kicker Streamers for Week 8
Will Lutz (Available 92-percent) vs. Carolina Panthers
The top spot this week is going to be occupied by a different Will. Will the Thrill Reichard of the Vikings has been here for the last few weeks and has paid off handsomely. Reichard played on Thursday this week though, so he isn’t eligible. Enter Will Lutz. A staple for years in New Orleans, Lutz is now entrenched as the Denver Broncos Kicker.
Lutz has been near perfect this year going 17-18 on field goal attempts. This week, he has a dream matchup against the lowly Carolina Panthers. Teams have been pouring on the points vs. the Panthers and the Broncos have been hitting their stride of late. Lutz is the No. 1 kicker on the slate in my projections. Available in 92-percent of Yahoo leagues, he should be the kicker in the majority of your lineups this week.
Jake Bates (Available 65-percent) vs. Tennessee Titans
I’ve been following Jake Bates all year. I didn’t know much about him going into the season, but was intrigued by the fact the Lions signed him to a two-year deal following the injury to Michael Badgley. Bates spent last year in the UFL and did work. He hit three field goals of over 60 yards there last year. Some other positions might not transfer to the NFL’s level of competition, but kicker does.
Bates has been a perfect 10-10 on field goals and, this week should see a spike in attempts. The Lions offense might be the best in the league. As such Bates has had a ton of extra point attempts (20-for-21). This week, against a solid Titans defense, a few of those Lions drives might stall out leading to a few more attempts. Regardless, Bates has a great floor.
Chris Boswell (Available 46-percent) vs. New York Giants
Appearing for the sixth week in a row here is Chris Boswell. He is basically a throw-in this week, as he just can’t quite get over the ownership hurdle to kick him out of the article. One of either Lutz or Bates should be available in your league for pickup, but if for some reason Boswell is still available, he is my choice to pick up and hold the rest of the year.
Boswell continues to be second overall in fantasy points for kickers. Why fantasy managers still aren’t universally embracing him is one of life’s mysteries. I’ve picked him up everywhere I can and if he does pop up on my waivers, I smash the add button. I recommend you do the same as he has two games in a row over 14 FPTS. Oh, and for good measure, he has a great matchup this week vs the Giants!
Good luck in Week 8! If you have any questions, you can find me in the PlayerProfiler discord where I’m always available to answer any questions, or on X!
