Running Back Report: Week 13 | Which Running Backs Should Be in Your Lineups This Week?

by Theo Gremminger · Analytics & Advanced Metrics

Your official Running Back Report is here. This is every Running Back worth considering in a MUST WIN WEEK 13. This is the Running Back Report Week 13!

God Tier Running Back

Christian McCaffrey | San Francisco

NOTES: Philadelphia will limit the rushing yards, so look for CMC to do a lot of damage as a receiver out of the backfield.

Situational God Tier Running Back

Alvin Kamara | New Orleans

NOTES: Kamara has posted 12 catch and 13 catch games this season to go along with two, seven catch games. This week, look for him to be the primary receiving weapon for the Saints in a potential high-scoring matchup against Detroit. This is a smash spot.

HIGH-END RUNNING BACKS – Week Winning Potential/Locked in RB1s

Kyren Williams | Los Angeles Rams

Travis Etienne | Jacksonville

Raheem Mostert | Miami

Zack Moss | Indianapolis

NOTES: He is officially back. Jonathan Taylor is out 2-3 weeks at least. Moss becomes a potential league-winning Running Back.

Bijan Robinson | Atlanta

NOTES: Forget about the matchup. The Jets are reeling, and Robinson is heating up. The Chosen One scored 17 and 27 PPR points his last two games. Look for another 20 PPR Points this week.

Jahmyr Gibbs | Detroit

NOTES: Gibbs had four straight Top 3 running back finishes before Thanksgiving Day’s disappointment. Look for him to bounce back in a big way against New Orleans.

Isiah Pacheco | Kansas City

NOTES: Pacheco makes the RB1 list. Pacheco is the RB13 on the season in PPR. Kansas City is starting to develop tremendous offensive balance with tight end Travis Kelce, wide receiver Rashee Rice, and Pacheco at running back.

Rachaad White | Tampa Bay

NOTES: Carolina has been shredded against opposing running backs. They have allowed 13 RB1/RB2 performances. White has had six straight games with 13 or more PPR points.

Javonte Williams | Denver

Veteran Running Backs Who Have Good Matchups

Derrick Henry | Tennessee

NOTES: King Henry ran for two TDs against Carolina. He can find the end zone again this week against Indianapolis.

Austin Ekeler | Los Angeles Chargers

NOTES: Ekeler does not look good, but we can’t ignore the targets. Baltimore shut him down, but New England is a decent spot for a get-right game.

Great Player, Terrible Situation or Matchup

Breece Hall | New York Jets

NOTES: Hall has been propped up by his receiving numbers, but the rushing floor is scary. He has not had more than 50 rushing yards since Week 5.

D’Andre Swift | Philadelphia

NOTES: Swift has been terrific this season but now faces a 49ers’ defense that has only given up six RB1 or RB2 performances all season. When it comes to must start running backs, Swift is right there, but temper your expectations this week.

Matchup Based Potential RB1

Rhamondre Stevenson | New England

NOTES: The Chargers have allowed 11 Top 24 performances to running backs this season.

Jaylen Warren | Pittsburgh

NOTES: Jaylen Warren is in a running back committee of sorts, with both backs having their moments. Last week, it was Najee Harris that stole the show. Warren had a costly fumble, and Harris took advantage, dominating in production. This week against Arizona look for Warren to get back on track and gash Arizona in the receiving game.

Najee Harris | Pittsburgh

NOTES: If you prefer the other Steelers RB, Harris has a lower ceiling, but he could find a way to multiple TDs.

If You Bench Him, He Will Score Two TDs Tier

David Montgomery | Detroit

Potential Week-Winning Running Back with Injury/Volume Concerns

Devon Achane | Miami

NOTES: Achane has three – top five running back finishes and can flip a fantasy matchup like no other back in the league besides CMC. However, Achane also could be limited after missing Week 12’s game against the Jets. It is hard not to use him if he plays.

Fantasy Starters – Running Backs That are Starters for Most Fantasy Managers This Week

Brian Robinson | Washington

Jerome Ford | Cleveland

Devin Singletary | Houston

Joe Mixon | Cincinnati

FLEX RUNNING BACKS AKA HEY THERE ARE 6 TEAMS ON BYE, OF COURSE, I AM USING THEM, BUT I AM NOT EXCITED ABOUT IT RUNNING BACKS

Chuba Hubbard | Carolina

AJ Dillon | Green Bay

Tyjae Spears | Tennessee

Antonio Gibson | Washington

Kareem Hunt | Cleveland

Samaje Perine | Denver

OK, NOW WE ARE GETTING A LITTLE SKETCHY TYPE RUNNING BACKS

Royce Freeman | Los Angeles Rams

Ezekiel Elliott | New England

Dameon Pierce | Houston

Miles Sanders | Carolina

Tyler Allgeier | Atlanta

Kenneth Gainwell | Philadelphia

FANTASY SLEEPER RUNNING BACKS

Patrick Taylor | Green Bay

Michael Carter | Arizona

D’Ernest Johnson | Jacksonville
