Tee Higgins
Sometimes there are deals that do not look appealing because they are attached to a significant price tag. Regardless of the cost, if you can buy something that will increase in value, then it is still a good deal. Tee Higgins fits that description wholeheartedly. The Bengals wide receiver is going to cost the buying fantasy manager quite a bit, but Higgins is worth it. He is coming off of back-to-back 1,000-receiving-yard seasons, and regardless if he is dealt or not fantasy managers will have high expectations. Either Higgins returns to a high-octane offense led by Joe Burrow, or he becomes a team’s new alpha wideout. Both scenarios provide a path for team builders to make profits by trading for Higgins.
In 2022, Higgins set career highs in games played, Targets, Receptions, and Receiving Touchdowns. Being paired with one of the best quarterbacks in the game has proved to be beneficial so staying in Cincinnati would be good for his fantasy value. Higgins had a 8.0 Target Accuracy Rating (No. 11 among qualified wide receivers) and a 97.4-percent True Catch Rate (No. 10) in 2022. The reason to buy with a high price tag is because his current situation is so good. On the other hand, if he is traded away to a team that will utilize him then his value explodes. Higgins’s 18.6-percent Target Share (No. 41), 27.9-percent Air Yards Share (No. 36), and 12 Red Zone Targets (No. 36) will balloon as a team’s alpha WR. When there are two paths that Higgins can go this off-season, and both look positive, it is time to buy.
Russell Wilson
Mr. Unlimited had one of the most limited seasons in 2022. Russell Wilson scored 15.8 fantasy points per game last year. This is a mark that was only good enough for No. 18 in the league. Finishing as the QB 18 on a points-per-game basis was Wilson’s worst finish in his entire career. His bad 2022 came as a surprise to many including myself. I was convinced that he was going to ball out on his new team. That kind of disappointment tends to crater a player’s fantasy value and that was certainly the case for Russ. But in two QB or Superflex leagues, buying some Wilson can bring your fantasy team some unlimited profits. This is the perfect kind of deal worth advertising at the Fantasy Supermarket.

Wilson’s 2022 campaign is one that he would love to forget in short order. He finished with 3,524 Passing Yards (No. 13 among qualified quarterbacks), 36 Danger Plays (No. 5), and 31 Interceptable Passes (No. 4). Why should anyone buy into a player coming off such a bad season? Well, there was a major variable change in Wilson’s potential output. Nathaniel Hackett was removed, and Sean Peyton has been named the newest head coach of the Denver Broncos. Peyton built effective offenses in New Orleans, and given the weapons in Denver, he can do it at Mile High. Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, Javonte Williams, and Greg Dulcich are a solid group of players to elevate Wilson.
There are not many chances to acquire a quarterback that has the resume of Russell Wilson, so if the buy window is open, it is worth exploring. In this specific case, the return can be higher than normal because there have been massive changes surrounding the signal caller. Buy now and count your profits later.
