FastDraft is a brand-new fantasy app that launched earlier this month. It contains many unique features that will be discussed in this article, but the most important one is simple – the fastest drafting experience. These drafts currently come in two varieties: best ball tournaments, where you can compete against thousands of entries to win large cash prizes, and mock drafts, which allows you to hone your drafting skills in both FastDraft contests and traditional dynasty leagues.

Best Ball Tournaments
Over the last few years, best ball tournaments have taken over the world of fantasy football through a variety of platforms. With no in-season management of your roster, best ball allows you to focus on the best part of fantasy football: drafting. However, FastDraft is not “just another best ball app,” as it contains unique games and a variety of features that you can’t find anywhere else.
Speed
The most obvious feature is the pure speed. Currently, all best ball tournaments on FastDraft consist of six rounds, 10 team drafts with a 20 second pick timer. This results in drafts being completed in under 10 minutes. As a result, you can easily draft several teams in the same time it takes to complete a traditional best ball draft.
Tournament Types
FastDraft is currently running two best ball tournaments: Origins and Flex 4. Origins is a rookie-only tournament with QBs included, while Flex 4 contains rookies and veterans at all positions except QB. In both tournaments, there are no positional requirements. Simply draft the players that you expect to score the most points, and your 4-man lineup will be filled automatically each week. There are also no playoff weeks like other best ball tournaments; whatever team scores the most total points in Weeks 1-17 will win first place.
Both Origins and Flex 4 come with a $5 entry. Origins has a prize pool of $25,000 with first place winning $4000. Meanwhile, Flex 4 has a prize pool of $50,000 with first place taking home $10,000. More unique tournament structures and larger prize pools are planned to come in 2025.
Boosters
Every best ball team that you draft comes with a set of boosters. These boosters multiply the points scored by each player on your roster, and you can customize them in any way you see fit. Each team gets one booster at each level: 2x, 1.75x, 1.5x, and 1.25x. This system allows for a variety of strategies: you can double down on your early picks or give big multipliers to your later draft picks to get unique and possibly gain a huge advantage over the field.
Turbo Mode
Another unique feature of FastDraft is Turbo Mode. This allows you to draft teams without being present for the live draft. Simply select the number of drafts, set your rankings, and check back later to update your boosters. This is a great way to quickly build a robust best ball portfolio without interrupting your daily routine. My preferred strategy is to enter separate small-batch Turbo Orders with different rankings in order to diversify my teams. But you can also enter large batches of orders to speed up the process even further.
Draft Experience
My favorite aspect of FastDraft is the smooth drafting experience. The rankings are much easier to customize than any other platform, as you only have to rank your top 60 players. The draft room is simplistic, easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing, but also offers more information than standard platforms. For any player, you can quickly view their ADP, your personal ranking, your personal exposure, and their drafted rate in that specific tournament. You can also sort the players list by any combination of these data points. This additional information greatly helps with making quick decisions on the clock to maximize your best ball portfolio.
FastDraft tournaments all utilize third round reversal, a setting that balances the relative strength of each draft position. This allows teams with the 10th pick to better compete with teams drafting from the first pick.
Portfolio
The Portfolio tab is another area in which FastDraft shines. Here is a brief rundown of the variety of information that you can easily view in this tab:
- Your exposure to each player across all drafts or in select tournaments, both in terms of percent drafted and cash invested
- The distribution of boosters that you have applied to each player
- Your personal average draft position for each player compared to that player’s overall ADP
- Every team that you’ve drafted, filtered by tournament or specific players, with the ability to adjust each team’s boosters at any time
Eligibility
FastDraft best ball contests are currently live in over 30 US states. To determine your eligibility, consult the map below. States that are coming soon include: New York, Missouri, Tennessee, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The Mock Drafts tab is available for anyone to use, regardless of location.
Mock Drafts
While the best ball contests are definitely the flagship product of FastDraft, the app also hosts a robust Mock Draft tab. You can choose to run a mock draft of any FastDraft tournament, or create a custom dynasty mock draft with dozens of settings to manipulate. These settings include: the player pool (rookies, vets, or both), number of teams (8-16), number of rounds (anywhere from 4-30), format (1QB or Superflex), third round reversal, TE premium, and your draft slot (chosen or random).
Upon completion of a dynasty mock draft, you will be redirected to the results page. Here you can evaluate the quality of your mock draft based on PlayerProfiler’s Lifetime Value rating system for dynasty. Your team’s total Lifetime Value is compared against every team in your draft, in addition to every other team that has been mock drafted by anyone in that format. These results are saved in the Mock Drafts tab to be viewed at any time.
