The Fantasy Supermarket: Players to Buy

by Matty Kiwoom, December 3, 2022

The Fantasy Supermarket is a place where fantasy team builders can find deals. Discounted players that are poised for some big games ahead or talent profiles that are exciting, but the stats haven’t been there. But sometimes the supermarket has a player that is just so good that they are worth buying even at a high price. DK Metcalf is that dude. Despite ranking as WR 18 overall, Metcalf is WR 25 on a points-per-game basis. That difference is enough to potentially open the slightest of buy windows. It will not lower the price, but that is okay because if he was a top-10 wide receiver he wouldn’t even be available.

Dynasty Market Movers – Report 6

by Steve Smith, December 3, 2022

D’Andre Swift finds himself locked into a running back committee. Regardless of whether the Lions are managing his reps or prefer Williams as a primary ball carrier, Swift has disappointed in 2022. On the year, Swift is averaging 13.0 fppg (No. 20) with five TDs (No. 18). Williams has drastically cut into his production in the touchdown department with a league-leading 13 scores. While Swift has dealt with injuries in his young career, this current dip in value may be a solid opportunity to buy at a discount. After all, he has still produced an elite 1.22 (No. 2) Fantasy Points Per Opportunity with a True Yards Per Carry of 5.0 (No. 12). Still just 23 years old, Swift’s dynasty value loses 45.44 Lifetime Value points to slip two spots to RB5.

Dynasty Market Movers – Report 5

by Steve Smith, November 19, 2022

Christian Watson is a touchdown machine! In Week 10 he played 85.2-percent of snaps catching 4 of 8 targets for 107 yards and 3 touchdowns. His breakout game rewarded patient fantasy managers with 32.7 fantasy points (WR2). On Thursday night versus the Titans, he added two more scores making it five touchdowns in the last two games. Watson has quickly become Aaron Rodgers preferred Red Zone target. The second-round selection out of NDSU gains 38.38 Lifetime Value points and 21 spots to vault to WR41 in dynasty.

The Fantasy Supermarket: Players to Buy

Despite ranking in the top ten at tight end, Pat Freiermuth has failed to record double-digit fantasy totals in three of the Steelers’ last four contests. There is a chance that the fantasy manager that rosters Freiermuth isn’t thrilled to move on. However, given the lack of boom weeks, the window to buy may have cracked open enough. If there is a chance to buy into the Pittsburgh tight end then teambuilders should make a move.

Dynasty Market Movers – Report 4: Stock up for Tony Pollard

by Steve Smith, November 5, 2022

With Ezekiel Elliott sitting out the Week 8 match-up versus Chicago, Pollard exploded for 147 total yards and three touchdowns. This big day translated to a 33.7 fantasy point (RB4) finish. Pollard gains 54.22 Lifetime Value points to move 9 spots on the dynasty rankings to RB20.

Regardless of any narrative coming out of the Cowboys organization regarding future RB splits, Pollard makes for an interesting free agent this offseason. His 5.3 (No. 9) True Yards Per Carry and 6.7 (No. 3) Yards Per Touch, are substantially better than Zeke’s marks. The man of the hour has nine Breakaway Runs (No. 3). Tony Freakin’ Pollard!

After a strong start to the 2022 campaign, Courtland Sutton has gone cold of late. Sutton has not been performing like the team’s WR1, and other weapons have emerged. Over the past three weeks, Sutton has produced a total of 50 scoreless receiving yards with no red zone targets. This yardage total is lower than any single game output from Weeks 1 through 5.

The 27-year-old loses 45.7 Lifetime Value points and 18 spots to slide to WR43 in dynasty. Better days are ahead for Sutton, but this buy-low opportunity comes with volatility in the Denver Bronco’s 21st-ranked passing offense.

The Fantasy Supermarket: Players to Buy

by Matty Kiwoom, October 29, 2022

The Denver Broncos have been a massive disappointment in both fantasy football and real-life football. Courtland Sutton started the season strong but has faded recently. The wide receiver was averaging 16.2 fantasy points per game over his first four games but has since averaged just seven points over his last three. So why would anyone want to buy into a player that is seemingly fading? Sutton’s recent struggles present a buy window, and we love buy windows at the Fantasy Supermarket.

Dynasty Market Movers – Report 3

by Steve Smith, October 22, 2022

On the season, Jalen Hurts has thrown for 1514 yards (No. 8) with 6 passing touchdowns (No. 17). With 77 carries (No. 1) for 293 rushing yards (No. 2) and 6 rushing TDs (No. 1), Hurts provides a fantasy-friendly floor.

Hurts owns career-best marks in True Passer Rating (100.3, No. 7),  True Completion Percentage (71.5-percent, No. 13), and Accuracy Rating (8.0, No. 8). Not surprising, he is producing a career-high 24.6 Fantasy Points Per Game (fppg) good for QB3.

The season hasn’t started as planned for off-season breakout candidate Elijah Moore. The sophomore receiver has earned only 30 targets on the season seeing a 13.6-percent Target Share (No. 70). Moore has steadily seen his Snap Share decline over the last four games. Moore has requested a trade but the Jets’ management maintains that it will not happen.

On the season, Hall has 28 Targets (No. 2) with a 15.4-percent Target Share (No. 7). He has carried the ball 38 times (No. 31) this season, but his workload has steadily risen to peak at 17 carries (5 Red Zone) in Week 4. He earns 45.96 Lifetime Value points to jump three spots to RB2. Breece Hall is a BELL COW.  Buy the former Iowa State Cyclone where you can.

Despite a 90.9-percent Protection Rate (No. 1), Russell Wilson is producing a career-low 16.6 fppg (QB14). Through Week 4, Wilson has a True Completion Percentage of 67.8-percent (No. 22) and has only one QB1 finish (QB3 in Week 4). His Passing Touchdown Rate of 3.1-percent is also a career worst. He loses 6.07 Lifetime Value points to fall outside the Top 10 dynasty QBs (QB11).
