Dynasty Market Movers – Week 14 Report

by Steve Smith, December 18, 2021

Through 13 games, Ja’Marr Chase leads all rookie wideouts in total receiving yards (1,035) and receiving yards per game (79.6). His 17.2 (No. 8 among qualified wide receivers) Fantasy Points per Game tops all rookie WRs and is 0.1 point higher than the mark achieved by former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson in 2020. The fifth overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft accrues 15.58 Lifetime Value points (the most of any WR this update) to move up to WR2 in dynasty.

Battling a hamstring strain for multiple weeks, DeAndre Hopkins will now miss the remainder of the regular season with a knee injury. Unsurprisingly, Hopkins hasn’t been the top 5 WR option in 2021 that fantasy gamers have grown accustomed to. He has averaged 14.7 (No. 21) Fantasy Points per Game, finishing as a WR1 just three times this season (Weeks 1, 6, and 7). Turning 30-years-old next June, Hopkins loses 32.02 Lifetime Value points and a dozen spots to fall to WR37.

Dynasty Market Movers – Week 13 Report

Hard work is paying off for Diontae Johnson. Closing on 1,000 receiving yards for this first time in his NFL career, the Toledo product is enjoying a productive season. Get the ball in the hands of this dynamic talent and good things happen, as evidenced by 384 Yards After the Catch (No. 4). The 25-year-old ascends three spots to join the Top 10 receivers in dynasty (WR10).

Since returning from a single game absence due to a heel injury in Week 10, it’s been tough sledding for James Robinson. Prior to the Jags’ Week 7 bye, Robinson averaged a Snap Share of 73.9-percent. In the last four games, this is down to 54.5-percent of snaps in part due to being benched twice for fumbles. Robinson produced 14.7 Fantasy Points Per Game in 2021 (RB22), a dramatic drop from the 17.9 he’s delivered in 2020.

Dynasty Market Movers – Week 12 Report

by Steve Smith, December 4, 2021

On the year, Jaylen Waddle has 105 (No. 7 among qualified wide receivers) targets, which leads all rookie wideouts. His 15.1 Fantasy Points per Game trails only Ja’Marr Chase in terms of rookie WR production. Overall, Waddle is the WR19 on a points per game basis. Establishing himself as Miami’s alpha receiver, Waddle has scored double digit fantasy points in six of the last seven games. His dynasty stock gains 18.28 Lifetime Value points to join the Top 20 WRs in dynasty (WR19).

Terrace Marshall was a healthy scratch versus the Dolphins in Week 12 – 2021 sixth round wideout Shi Smith was active. While Marshall hasn’t been productive in his rookie season, this is not the news that dynasty managers were hoping for from the Panthers’ second round selection. The former LSU Tiger has averaged a mere 3.1 (No. 117) Fantasy Points per Game. His dynasty stock loses 16.59 Lifetime Value points and six spots to drop to WR44.

Dynasty Market Movers – Week 11 Report

by Steve Smith, November 27, 2021

Dynasty managers that had the privilege of starting Austin Ekeler versus the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11 were rewarded with a career best 41.5 point fantasy day (RB2). Eleven weeks into the 2021 campaign, Ekeler is averaging 22.1 Fantasy Points Per Game (RB3) – his most productive fantasy season to date. The 26 year-old UDFA earns 15.59 Lifetime Value points to rise three spots to RB11 in dynasty.

Back from injury to face the Atlanta Falcon’s in Week 11, Damien Harris had company in the Patriots backfield. He will need to be productive in Week 12 to keep rookie Rhamondre Stevenson from earning an even greater share of the Pats backfield. On the season, he trails Stevenson in both Juke Rate and Yards Created Per Touch. Harris loses 22.96 Lifetime Value points to drop seven spots to RB31. Stevenson climbs up to RB34.

Dynasty Market Movers – Week 10 Report

As a complement to Aaron Jones, A.J. Dillon has received a Snap Share of 32.7-percent. Despite this limited role, he has three double digit fantasy totals entering Week 10. With Jones exiting the game with knee sprain, Dillion posted 128 total yards and two TDs on 21 carries. The fantasy RB3 in Week 10, earns a position best 32.98 Lifetime Value points to rise nine spots to RB20 in dynasty.

Jarvis Landry has been an underwhelming option for fantasy gamers this year. Limited to six appearances due to a knee injury, Landry has delivered a career low 8.5 (No. 59 among qualified wide receivers) Fantasy Points Per Game. This low mark is inflated by a 19.4 point (WR17) performance in Week 1. Despite a 21.4-percent (No. 32) Target Share, he has reached 10 fantasy points just once since the Browns’ season opener. For now, he loses 8.91 Lifetime Value points and nine spots to fall to WR76.

Dynasty Market Movers – Week 9 Report

by Steve Smith, November 13, 2021

Over 600 days have gone by since Cam Newton was released from the Carolina Panthers organization. Earlier this week, the 2015 NFL MVP returned home to Charlotte. The one-year deal revives Newton’s dynasty value adding 6.91 Lifetime Value points (the most of any QB this update) to climb 20 spots to QB36 on PlayerProfiler’s dynasty rankings.

Without D.J. Chark in the lineup over the past four games, most fantasy gamers would have expected an increase in Laviska Shenault stock. Instead, it’s been an exercise in frustration with three of four weekly performances of WR57 or worse. He still has not posted a 100 receiving yard game in his NFL career and is scoreless this season.Averaging 8.6 (No. 59) Fantasy Points Per Game thus far in 2021 (2.6 per game fewer than his rookie year), Shenault drops seven spots to fall to WR42.

Dynasty Market Movers – Week 8 Report

Justin Fields has experienced growing pains in the early part of his NFL career. However, last weekend versus the 49ers, the first-round signal caller provided Bears fans a glimpse of what he is capable of. Following his 26.3 (QB5) fantasy day, Fields gains 11.91 Lifetime Value points and climbs four spots to QB10 on PlayerProfiler’s dynasty rankings.

After a torrid start to 2021, Mike Williams’ stock is trending down of late. He loses three spots to land at WR28 on PlayerProfiler’s dynasty rankings. Over the last four games, Williams has failed to top 30 receiving yards three times. This is more reminiscent of the boom or bust output that fantasy gamers have been accustomed to from the fifth year wideout.

Heading into Week 8, Cooper Kupp leads all NFL WRs in receptions (56), targets (81), receiving yards (809), touchdowns (9), and of course, Fantasy Points Per Game (27.2). Kupp is poised to easily smash his career best 1162 yard and 10 touchdown season that he posted on 94 receptions in 2019. Trending way up in 2021, the 28-year-old Kupp’s dynasty stock accrues 19.29 Lifetime Value points (the most of any WR in the latest rankings update) to move six spots to WR15.

After struggling in last week’s match-up against the New York Giants, Sam Darnold was shown the bench early in the fourth quarter. Since he posted the top QB performance in Week 4, the wheels have fallen off. Darnold has thrown five interception in the last three games, averaging a mere 4.7 Yards Per Attempt. On the season, he has an underwhelming Accuracy Rating of 7.2 (No. 29) with a True Completion Percentage of 68.6-percent (No. 28). Darnold loses 8.10 Lifetime Value points (the biggest QB faller this week) and five spots to slip to QB29 in the dynasty rankings.

Dynasty Market Movers – Week 6 Report

by Steve Smith, October 23, 2021

Joe Burrow finished Week 6 as the QB8 in fantasy, his best outing of 2021. The sophomore has now delivered fantasy managers three consecutive 20-plus point performances. Thus far, the 4-2 Bengals have enjoyed positive Game Script (+1.07, No. 9), averaging a low 29.2 Team Pass Attempts Per Game (No. 29). However, Burrow has been efficient. Through six games, he owns a True Completion Percentage of 75-percent (No. 4) and is delivering 8.9 Yards Per Attempt (No. 4). Burrow rises two spots to QB9 to join the PlayerProfiler’s QB dynasty rankings Top 10.

Nyheim Hines played a season low 23.4-percent of snaps in the Colts’ Week 6 rout of the Texans. Over the past three weeks, he has earned just 10 carries and five targets. With Jonathan Taylor dominating backfield touches and trade candidate Marlon Mack recently getting five carries per week, Hines’ usage has been limited. He’s produced a total of 6.1 points in fantasy football. Best kept on benches until his opportunity metrics improve, Hines’ dynasty value loses 6.41 Lifetime Value points to slip to RB44.
