RotoUnderworld is looking for an experienced Full Stack PHP Developer to join our team of driven professionals. The right candidate should be an influential, dependable team player that can help us grow PlayerProfiler.com and create powerful applications for our user community and support mobile applications and business operation systems. Daily Responsibilities

  • Create new features and extend existing functionality on across our web platforms
  • Implement rich user interfaces and website designs on our custom WordPress theme
  • Design database schemas to maximize data performance and usability
  • Integrate data from various back-end services, APIs and databases
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Create and maintain software documentation
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
  • Be informed on technologies and trends emerging and identify appropriate applications

Necessary Skills and Background

  • 3-5 years of experience working with Laravel and have a strong understanding of its architectural concepts and components.
  • Ability to write object-oriented code that is efficient based on software development best practices and testable with tools such as PHPUnit/Pest and Behat.
  • Comfortable with PHP Standards Recommendations, 12-factor application conventions, and Composer for package management
  • Experience with WordPress and creating custom themes and plugins
  • Proven experience in crafting JSON APIs with Authentication
  • Proficiency in writing modern, responsive, and efficient HTML/CSS
  • Competency with one or more of the following: React, React Native, TailWind, Vue
  • Cursory understanding of DevOps: AWS, Docker, Terraform
  • Proficiency with git and GitHub for maintaining source code and organizing tasks
  • Strong understanding of MySQL database systems: schema design, views and procedures, etc
  • Adequate knowledge of relational and document (NoSQL) database systems
  • Ambitious problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
  • Organizational skills managing multiple tasks and timelines

Bonus Skills and Experience

  • Domain Driven Design (DDD)
  • Document Database experience, such as MongoDB
  • Graphic design / editing ability (Photoshop, Figma, etc)
  • Experience with Stripe & PayPal API
