All-Pro guard Joe Thuney, who suffered a pectoral strain during the Divisional game vs the Bills is doubtful the Superbowl. There is some optimism that Thuney could play but it would take a lot for him to get into the lineup. 

Left guard Nick Allegretti who filled in exceptionally for Thuney in the AFC Championship game vs Ravens will get the start again if Thuney does indeed miss. The Chiefs will once again need another big game from Allegretti to keep Mahomes upright against that formidable 49ers pass rush.
