Wide Reciever Greg Dortch is forming a connection with quarterback Kyler Murray in OTAs.
Undrafted out of Wakeforest Greg Dortch bounced from the Jets, Panthers and the Falcons before catching on with Cardinals. In his first full season with the Cardinals he recorded career highs with 52 catches 467 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. Kyler is quoted saying “If he’s 6’3″, he’s a top 5 receiver.” That’s some high praise from a quarterback that has played with Ceedee Lamb.
Look for Dortch to carve out a decent deep threat role in this offense. Kyler Murray will be another year removed from his ACL injury. With the offense lacking in wide receiver experience, Dortch and Murray can point at each other a-la spiderman pointing meme and connect down field. Dortch’s small size keeps him being a true sleeper candidate. Dortch’s best value comes as a best ball player. Dortch can boom for a 20 point game or bust for zero.
