Derrick Henry
Mike Vrabel OUT as Titans Head Coach

Tennessee Titans owner, Amy Adams Strunk, released a statement that Mike Vrabel will not be returning as the Head Coach for the Titans in 2024.

Mike Vrabel has earned the respect of players and fans during his 6 year stint as Head Coach for the Titans, highlighted by a coach of the year award in 2021. After back-to-back disappointing seasons, the Titans brass is looking to go a different direction with their Head Coaching position.

Vrabel will be one of the top coaching candidates available this offseason. Wherever he ends up, expect a smash-mouth style of football centered around physicality and the run game. The New England Patriots jump out as a good fit for Vrabel’s next gig, as there are rumors swirling that Belichick could be out as Head Coach, and the Patriots have made it clear they have an affinity for Vrabel, naming him to their Hall of Fame in October 2023.

For the Titans, expect this offense to look different next year. Derrick Henry’s farewell speech at Nissan stadium following the conclusion of  the Titans’ week 18 win against the Jaguars gives off a strong indication that he’ll be moving on from Tennessee and will no longer be a focal point of their offense. Keep an eye on who they bring in as a coach and some of their offseason personnel moves to get a better feel for what their new offensive identity will be.
