Bijan Robinson Finishes the 2024 Fantasy Season Strong
2 days ago

Bijan Robinson is the RB-2 for week 17 heading into Monday Night Football.

Bijan Robinson has given fantasy managers much to be delighted about in 2024. Entering week 17, Bijan was the RB-3 on the season.

Bijan Robinson had 17 carries in week 17 against the Washington Commanders. His 90 yards were boosted by 2 touchdowns on the ground. Bijan added a paltry 3 receptions for 8 yards in the receiving game. Bijan’s 24.8 fantasy points make him the RB-2 on the week with Monday Night Football’s contest between the Lions and 49ers remaining.

While Tyler Allgeier takes more series than Bijan managers would like, there is plenty of optimism entering year 3. Bijan will be in his age 23 season and has not had significant injuries to date in his NFL career. He is ranked 5th in carries (259) and targets (62). This has yielded Bijan being 5th in rushing and receiving yards respectively. His 19.0 fantasy points per game is ranked 4th at the running back position.

In 2025, Bijan will safely be a first round pick on UnderDog drafts for Best Ball and is a bonafide top tier running back that is coveted in Dynasty leagues.

Tua Tagovailoa
Tua Tagovailoa Downgraded to Doubtful

Miami will again be without their top signal-caller for Sunday’s must-win matchup.

The Miami Dolphins have downgraded quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to doubtful, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. While the signal-caller is still pushing to play, he has been struggling with a hip injury that could result in him missing Miami’s must-win showdown with the Cleveland Browns. As was the case when Tagovailoa missed four games earlier in the year due to a concussion, Tyler Huntley would be in line to start should the five-year veteran be ruled out.

While the Dolphins must win in Cleveland if they want any hope of postseason football, there’s no denying that Tagovailoa’s potential absence projects to negatively impact the fantasy value of Miami’s top weapons on championship Sunday. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill — already dealing with a wrist ailment — warrants borderline FLEX consideration in Week 17, while tight end Jonnu Smith becomes a fringe starter himself. The one player that figures to benefit most from Tua’s (likely) absence is running back De’Von Achane, as Miami could opt to rely on the ground game with Tyler Huntley under center. Raheem Mostert should also see an uptick in carries, as well.

Chase Brown
Bengals Chase Brown Suffers Injury Saturday

Chase Brown suffered a sprained ankle in Saturday’s matchup against the Denver Broncos.

While trying to secure the win over the Denver Broncos, Brown attempted to slide before getting into the end zone but was tackled awkwardly and unfortunately suffered a sprained ankle. He missed the rest of the game that went into overtime. Khalil Herbert had filled in for the injured Brown. The Cincinnati Bengals managed to win in OT, allowing them the opportunity to still get into the playoffs with help from others and winning their last game of the season.

Brown’s ankle will be monitored throughout the week and will look to play in week 18. He is a big piece of their offense and will be a huge blow if he is unable to play, stay tuned throughout the week for updates.

Colts to Start Joe Flacco at QB, Anthony Richardson Out Due to Injury

The Indianapolis Colts will turn to veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to start this Sunday’s game, as rookie QB Anthony Richardson continues to battle back and foot soreness. Richardson, who has been struggling with the injuries this week, did not practice at all and has officially been downgraded to out for the game.

Flacco, 39, brings years of experience to the Colts’ offense, having started over 170 games in his career. The team will be looking to him for stability as they face off against their Week 5 opponent. Richardson, who has shown flashes of promise in his rookie season, will be sidelined in hopes of fully recovering from the ailments.

The Colts have yet to announce further details on Richardson’s recovery timeline, but for now, Flacco will take the reins in what promises to be a crucial game for Indianapolis as they look to stay competitive in the AFC South.

Cowboys Place WR CeeDee Lamb on Injured Reserve

The Dallas Cowboys have officially placed star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb on injured reserve, ruling him out for the team’s final two games of the season. Lamb is dealing with an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, but NFL Network’s Jane Slater reports that surgery is not required for the injury.

With Lamb sidelined, the Cowboys will rely on a mix of receivers to step up in his absence. The team’s wide receiver corps for Week 17 will include Brandin Cooks, Jalen Tolbert (who is dealing with a finger injury), Jalen Brooks (knee), KaVontae Turpin, Ryan Flournoy, and rookie Jonathan Mingo.

The Cowboys are aiming to close out the regular season strong, but Lamb’s absence leaves a significant void in their high-powered offense. While the team is hopeful for a playoff run, they will need to adapt to the loss of their top target over the final stretch of the year.

Carolina Panthers Place RB Chuba Hubbard on Injured Reserve due to Calf Injury

The Carolina Panthers have placed running back Chuba Hubbard on injured reserve due to a calf and knee injury. While the injury is not considered major, the team has decided to take a cautious approach to avoid further complications.

Hubbard, who has been a key contributor in the Panthers’ backfield, will now be sidelined for at least the next four weeks. Carolina made the official announcement shortly after the report, confirming the move.

The Panthers will likely rely on other running backs in Hubbard’s absence, as they look to maintain their offensive rhythm during his recovery. The team has yet to provide a definitive timeline for Hubbard’s return, but the priority will be ensuring his full recovery before his return to the field.
