The Philadelphia Eagles extend Devonta Smith for 3 years and $75 million, $51 million guaranteed.

Skinny Batman gets his Bruce Wayne extension from the Philadelphia Eagles. In a move to secure their WR room for several years, Devonta Smith was extended for 3 years, worth up to $75 million with $51 million guaranteed. Devonta Smith will remain a top weapon for Jalen Hurts potentially through the 2028 season.

The 2019 Biletnikoff Award winner has been extremely consistent since being drafted 10th overall in 2021. In his 3 seasons in Philly, Smith has averaged 80 catches, over 1,000 yards and 6.3 TDs. His combination of speed, route-running prowess, and sure hands has made him a nightmare for opposing defenses and a sure target for Hurts, which only reinforces why the Eagles want to keep him long-term.

After signing Saquon Barkley to an already dynamic offense, the Eagles offense will fly even higher this year. Smith, A.J. Brown, and Dallas Goedert remain the pass-catching core for Philadelphia, providing Hurts with reliable weapons and fantasy gamers with top receiving options. Barkley will only add more balance to open up more opportunities. Smith’s value remains consistent as a low end WR1/high end WR2 , with potential for more in 2024.
