Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is visiting with the Las Vegas Raiders for one of their top 30 prospect visits.
Shedeur Sanders is one of the top names at quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft. Evaluators are lower on Sanders than the general consensus. Some scouts are comparing him to Joe Burrow and others say he isn’t even worth a first round pick. Sanders is a bigger name because of his famous father in NFL Hall of Fame, cornerback Deion Sanders. Deion was also Shedeur’s head coach all through college. Some teams may shy away from the baggage that comes with how outspoken Deion can be. The Las Vegas Raiders are doing their due diligence to see if Shedeur is a good fit for their team. With the 6th of the draft, the Raiders may be reaching too high for Sanders, but if they value him as a franchise quarterback they need to take him before someone else does.
Shedeur Sanders is an enigma at quarterback. The offensive scheme and offensive line at Colorado were definitely subpar. Sanders did not have much help outside this receiving corps. One thing you can’t knock him for, is his toughness. Sanders will need a good offensive scheme and players to truly support him. This makes him a shaky dynasty pick and a player I would avoid in re-draft leagues. I would only take Sanders if he lands in a great situation for his skillset.
