University of Illinois tight end Tip Reiman goes to the Arizona Cardinals with the 86th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The University of Illinois product Tip Reiman makes for one of the most interesting tight end prospects in the draft. At 6’5” and 271 pounds, Reiman is a monster out there and his frame is a huge reason he succeeds as a run blocker. His run blocking ability is a good sign for a shot at finding playing time but it was his combine performance that had teams turning their heads with a 4.64 40 yard dash. He has a unique combination of size and speed that you don’t often find at tight end.
Unfortunately the Cardinals don’t necessarily provide the best fantasy landing spot for Reiman. Trey McBride just broke out last season and is still expected to maintain his role going into 2024. Reiman will likely slot in as the second tight end in two tight end sets where he can block and be used occasionally through the air. He joins a completely overhauled Cardinals offense that has also added wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and running back Trey Benson in this draft. Despite his athleticism it’s tough to see a clear path to fantasy relevance for Reiman.
