The Houston Texans draft Notre Dame tackle Blake Fisher at 59th overall. Fisher is talented and will bring his impressive athleticism and technique to the Texans. He can immediately contribute to the Texans o-line while protecting C.J. Stroud and opening up run lanes for newly-signed Joe Mixon.

Fisher (6’6″ 310 lbs) allowed 6 sacks and 19 pressures over 1,002 college snaps. He is a solid, nimble, and experienced in run-blocking prospect. There are some concerns with his edge recovery, oversetting and hand technique. Going into the NFL Draft, the Texans were looking to upgrade their line after a 2023 season mired with injuries and inconsistent play. Fisher will certainly compete for a starting role on this revamped offense that many already view as playoff bound.
