The Kansas City Chiefs take BYU Tackle, Kingsley Suamataia, at 63rd overall in the NFL Draft.

The Kansas City Chiefs draft BYU tackle Kingsley Suamataia at 63rd overall. Suamataia is solid and will bring his impressive power and quickness to the Chiefs. He adds depth to the Chiefs o-line while protecting Patrick Mahomes and opening up run lanes for Isiah Pacheco in their pursuit for a threepeat in 2024.

Suamataia has adequate size (6’5″ 326 lbs) and versatile experience at both RT and LT. He is overall a solid prospect, with good burst and lateral quickness. There are some concerns with his hand technique and other blocking inconsistencies. Thankfully, the Chiefs are already solid in the trenches and have a well-established line. Teams can never have too many offensive linemen, and Suamataia will be given the opportunity to further develop with the reigning SB champs.
