The Georgia Bulldog is out to prove he is all bite to go along with his bark in joining the Cincinnati Bengals.
Amarius Mims has been selected by the Bengals with the 18th pick overall in the 1st round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The 6’ 8’’ Georgia Bulldog weighing in at 340 pounds will protect Joe Burrow.
Amarius Mims is physically dominant, athletic, and knows how to drive his opponent away from the quarterback. Whether being asked to pull, down block, or work to the second level, Amarius Mims offers the potential you would want in an offensive tackle. The versatility and strength are seen particularly in pass blocking.
With some knocks on Mims technical skill with run blocking and lack of experience with having only started 8 games, the Bengals are getting a sweet bargain in the talent rich tackle. While not apparent on the stat sheet for Bengals skill position players, Mims will quietly enhance the length of time for Joe Burrow to facilitate the football. Defenders will have a tough time getting into the club with a bouncer like Amarius Mims.
